Triaxis "Crap" Mod on LD1 Red - anyone able to use

I remember I got a okay grungy sound when I maxed out all the tones & gain controls, hardly any DV.... I'll edit this post later when I get home to check the settings exactly. Still not great, though. Here's that sound on LD1 Red: gain 8, master 7, presence 7, DV 1, all other settings at 10...

Does the 2:90 make noise when switching?

Good... that's what I want to know... if it makes any noises through the speakers. A click or tink sound inside the box itself would be expected as I bet it has to do something funky in there to get the different modes to work. Maybe that's a relay clicking? Anybody else hear sounds when...

How well does the Triaxis do the MarkIIC+ sound?

I think you can take the 'brutality' out of the sounds.... just don't use extreme settings on the Dynamic Voice, which scoops the heck out of the sound. The rhythm modes and LD1 green/yellow modes are good for vintage sounds. I can't tell you whether it can do a Brian Setzer tone or not, but...

How well does the Triaxis do the MarkIIC+ sound?

Right. The key in the quote above is "digital CONTROL circuit". The Digital stuff is only for MIDI and to tell the Triaxis what to set the Treble, Mid, and Bass pots at (they're probably not pots but the metaphor applies). The actual controls that change the mid, bass, & treble are analog...

Triaxis "Crap" Mod on LD1 Red - anyone able to use

Hi all, After a couple of years of frustratingly trying to tweak LD1 RED into something usable, I have finally given up after reading about the different fat/nonfat versions out there. Apparently I have the most recent version of Triaxis, without any Recto like board at all. I like to call it...

How well does the Triaxis do the MarkIIC+ sound?

The Triaxis is definitely NOT "imitation tone"... the same circuits are used for each mode. You just don't get to cycle through all the infinite values of each potentiometer like you would on a "normal" amp. (The digital "knobs" on Triaxis only give about 15 steps between 0 and 10... which is...

Does the 2:90 make noise when switching?

I'm talking about "switching" noise here, not the hissing noise we all get when using high gain distorted sounds without a noise gate. Put another way, does the 2:90 make any EXTRA noise when switching in(or out) any of the modes (deep, 1/2 drive, or modern)? I seem to remember reading...

Does the 2:90 make noise when switching?

Hey all you 2:90 owners: I'm considering getting a 2:90. Does the thing make any noises when switching the modes in and out (deep, 1/2 drive, and modern)? The Triaxis seems to be really good (quiet) when it switches preamp modes, but if the 2:90 pops & crackles maybe I'll skip it. Of course...

    2:90 retube question

Call Mesa to be sure. There are 2 different configs out there, the ABBA config, and ABAB. I think the newer 2:90s are ABAB, but you should call to be sure.
