    Recomend me some Dimarzio Pickups

I would definitely go with the Crunch Lab for the bridge. The other guitarist in my band put one in his Ibanez and plays through a Fender Metal Head. It sounds amazing, exactly like you've described. As far as the single coil goes, not very familiar with single coils.

    What speakers would you get?

Ok, thanks a lot (everybody). I'll be sure to keep the speakers. I don't plan on selling it though. It was my first real amp. I still have the head too. It wouldn't be worth the money I would be able to get for it. And I also plan on using the MG for practice after I've broke the other speakers...

    What speakers would you get?

What would you guys think about just getting the new speakers and putting them in my MG cab? I've had some problems with overdraft fees and bigger bills than usual. I would later on buy a cab with no speakers. I know the construction of the cab has a lot to do with the sound. Do you think using...

    What speakers would you get?

    Ok, just checkin

    What speakers would you get?

Is there much difference in the sound of the 60's and the 30's or is it just the wattage?

Dependable cheap (somewhat) practice amp recommendations

I'm not sure which Vox he got.

    What speakers would you get?

Ok, so after reading through everything again, comparing prices and reading reviews I've decided on the V30's and the G12-75'S. One more question though, I saw where Mesa sells Vintage 30's for $129. Musicians Friend sells them for $145. Or they the same thing? If not, which is better?

    What speakers would you get?

    1) Well, money is somewhat an issue. I'm in college with a part time job so I don't have a lot of spare cash but I have my tax money and have been saving up. The way I've always looked at it though is that it's better to just put out the money first go around rather than get something cheaper...

Dependable cheap (somewhat) practice amp recommendations

Definitely check out the Cube amps before you buy anything. I got a good deal from a friend of mine when he sold his to get a Vox practice amp. He had the Vox for a couple weeks then sold it to get another Cube. They also have some good sounding built in effects if you're into that kinda thing...

    What speakers would you get?

Ok, thanks. I think his tone has more to do with the head. I love my Dual Rec but would love to have a Road King someday. And a Mark V and a Triaxis with a 2:90 power amp. In other words, I want a lot more than I'll ever be able to afford. But back to the subject. I like the idea of doing the x...

    What speakers would you get?

Thanks for all the help. I'm not really worried about weight that much. I'll probly just leave my new cab in our trailer and use it for shows and use my MG cab for practice so there won't be whole lot of moving it around. But money is a slight issue. I have one more suggestion and would like to...

    What speakers would you get?

I would always be playing with a band. I just use my Cube amp for practicing at home (the best practice amp by the way, I love it). I did some research on the Swamp Thangs and a lot of people said they were good when mixed with other speakers but didn't sound as good with alone. My friend that...

    What speakers would you get?

Ok, thanks. Any more inputs? (And by the way Spewnz, I love your setup. Saving up for the Ground Gontrol and a rack processor myself)

    What speakers would you get?

I play through a Duel Rec with either the EMG 81/85 combo or a Seymour Duncan Invader. Right now I've been playing through a Marshal MG cab and it does not do the Mesa justice. I have a friend who knows a guy that builds custom cabs for pretty cheap. I play Chevelle, Theory of A Deadman, Three...

    EMG Active vs EMG Passive

    Ok, thanks for the input

    EMG Active vs EMG Passive

I'm thinkin about buying a guitar with a Floyd Rose. I have a ton of guitars and none with a whammy bar so I'd like to get one. I was looking at Schecters, and I like the Damien and Damien Elite. The only difference besides the way they look is the Elite has the 81/85 (Active) and the regular...

    Power and Pre-Amp Info

Ok, Thanks a lot. That sounds really awesome. I wasn't aware of being able to change the pre-amps with midi. I've read up on the Triaxis some and would like to make that investment someday. But I'm still in college now so maybe down the road.

    Power and Pre-Amp Info

That helps. Thanks. I guess one of the main things I was wondering is which affects the sound the most? Power or pre-amp and what are the advantages to buying them separate when you can buy them together? Thanks.

    Power and Pre-Amp Info

Does anybody know a good website that explains how these two work to help me understand them better? I've been playing a while and have a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier but have never really understood how the power and pre-amp works. Thanks.

    Building My Own Amp Case

Yea, 3/4 is just what I had around the house. If I'd thought about it before I'd of went ahead and got 1/4 but I don't wanna have to start over. Thanks. Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated.
