Glad you got it working. Are the jacks on the amp or tank or the cable connectors corroded or anything? Yes! I cleaned one of the jacks on the tank. It was not corroded but a little dirty.

He actually said it IS working now. No need to pull the tank. :) Sorry, when I said it is workig I was talking about the tube. I opened the tank and did not find anything wrong... I just put the tank on the bag, pluged the tank to the amp and the reverb is working again... I don't know what...

I tried another tube and it is working fine...

The tube in V5 is ok. The reverb problem is on both channels. The connections on the amp are ok. I'll try to open the bag that protects the tank to look there. Thank you.

The reverb on my DC-5 is not working. When I turn up the reverb knob it is sounding like a gain control. I disconected the reverb and the amp is sound ok, a little bit sweeter than with the reverb conected but on 0. Is it a common problem? Thank you

I just found some 7581A tubes to buy and I would like to use them in my DC-5 combo. Somebody could tell me what is the correct bias range for a DC-5? What is the plate voltage of this amp? Thank you

Ok fatboy, I'll try the SED C. What dou you prefer on your Mesa, "early breakup" or "late breakup"? For pre amp, I think I'll order some EH12ax7, one EH12at7, and one LPS just for test on V1. Thanks.

I tried a full set of pre and power JJ tubes on my DC-5 and it sounded very muddy to me. Now I have Shuguang 12ax7c9x on V1, EH 12ax7 on V2-v5, JJ ECC83 on v6 and 2 JJ 6L6 on power. I'm still loking for some good tubes. What do you think about SED C on Boogie amps?

Hi, I'm trying to find the best (to me) preamp tube for my DC-5. This amp has 6 12ax7 but I know that the V5 is for reverb, and V6 for phase inverter. Will the others 12ax7 (V1, V2, V3, V4) affect the tone? I have the schematic here but I can´t understand it. Thank you.
