Cab is likethe bread..the amp is the butter. You got to have both to crat the tones you seeking.

The new Metal pickup is so much better souning than the AHB-1. The Mids were boosted considerably and the bass increased by a few points. I'm going to try and get some clips put together as soon as I can for you all. The only thing I have some concern about is the being able to adjust the 25K...

I got the Jackson back with the AHB-2 Meatl pickup. LOVE IT! Not near as scooped as the AHB-1's were. Very thick and round tone. Sounds killer with the Tung-sol Single Rec and cab. I seroius improvement over the AHB-1!!

I had a DR and 4x12 for gigs and what not. I have since moved to a Single and 2x12 and LOVE it. I can drive the Single harder and the cab is less to move around. Yes it does not have the stage presents but the sound certainly does!!!

Anyone using this badboy yet? I'm having one installed in my SL1T. I had the AHB-1 in my other Jackson and I loved it but the mids were sweeped quit a bit. Anyone have any recordings of the B-2?

I had his kit inmy DR and and had people actually approach me and ask about my setup..they never did before...maybe just a chance. Anyway, I liked the tone I had after the complete swap...and I just bought a single and bought another set for it. NOW I can drive the living HELL out of it :)

I asked Doug about the JJ's and he said they run too cool and prefers the Ruby's...The KT77 will be my next pair to try for sure. The pre amp set of 5 that he reccomends REALLY makes a beast out of the Recto imho. I wouldn't own one with out them.

I've made the switch from DR to Single. I finally get to see what their made of. The 3 ch DR was nice but I'm pretty much a 2 channel guy. I want lean and I want a good crunch tone. I even dropped to the 2x12 can from the 4x12 in order to tighten things up. Plus a full set of Dougs pre's and...

I had a set of the same pre-amps and Ruby's in my Duel and LOVED that tone structure. I've since sold the duel..bought a Single...should be here today..and before ALL of that ..... I ordered another set of the same pre-amps an power tubes. Nice aren't they?

Does anyone prefer them over the Vintage 30's? What other cabs sound killer with the Rec other than the mesa cabs?
