I'm currently playing thru a Dual Rec with a Marshall 1960A/JCM 800 cab and it sounds good. It's got the Vintage 30 speakers in it like the Mesa cabs... The other guitarist in my band is picking up a Mesa cab next week so I'll really be able to tell if there is a big difference.

I replaced one of the Rectifier tubes today and switched it back to tube mode and it sounds fine. It still pops and cracks a little on diode mode so I think I'm going to have it looked at. Thanx for the info guys!

In my opinion I'd save some more cash and buy a Les Paul. I borrowed a buddy LP for a few weeks, played the ESP Eclipse and it felt like **** compared to the LP. I still like the looks of the ESP though...
