If I have a MKIV and a DC-5, do I need a Dual Rec to...

cover anything that might be missing? I do like playing 90's Alternative like Foo's and AIChains. Will this amp make a difference that can't be hit by the other two I own?

Lets talk about the DC series a bit....

I own one and love it  But I always wondered if the rumor was true that the lead channel circuitry was a single-recto circuit. And the rhythm was the MK1 circuit. How accurate is this? If I could take CH1 from my DC-5 and put it in my MKIV, then I believe I'd have a great amp setup. At...

Good lord!! I finally tapped into the power of my MKIV!!!

I hate to gush like a school girl BUT I finally found out what the MKIV can do. I have been getting so-so sounds out of this thing and have been going back to my DC-5 (which is a great amp in its own right). But when I bought this red lizard skin long head, it had the outer power tubes switched...

If the Mark II C+ is such a great amp..

Why wouldn't Mesa reissue it? I'm sure they would make a boat-load of $$$. I am really curious to hear the difference between it and the MKIV :!:

Baker Street by the Foo Fighters...

I know they used Boogies alot but I love that huge wall-of-sound they got especially on that cut. If anyone knows what amp that was please tell me. I'm thinking a Mark series.....

    MKIV / DC-5 basic question

I own both but the lead channels sound so different. I know the MKIV is supposed to be super-creamy but it seems the DC-5 is even more so. What is your opinion (if you've heard both) and how would you describe the tonal differences?

First post here: Hi - MKIV question

I haven't delved into the manual, but why would you want to put the 34's in there? Does it give a radically differnt sound?

Thanks for the advice. I know I will be posting other questions here but here is one more. You guys seem to think it could be old tubes. Isn't there a way to check and see if a tube is bad by its color when glowing? Red or orange color, right?

First post here: Hi - MKIV question

I bought a MKIV Long chassis head (no manual) and it has these tubes inside: a pair of blue E34L's on the outside and a pair of JJ 6L6 on the inside. Is this supposed to be this way? I'm not exactly digging the sound and want to know why someone might have done this.
