Vintage mode of a series I Rectoverb same as the II?

Reverb knob in back? What were they thinking? Oh the humanity. Delay in switching I can live with, if It's not really noticeable-- Sounds like I don't need to sweat the series I, II thing and just go with the best deal.

Vintage mode of a series I Rectoverb same as the II?

Don't want to spend the xtra cash for a series 2 if the only difference is the # of modes. Any info would be appreciated :D

Want to get a Rectoverb but I've heard the loop has problems

Cool to know. Hear anything on whether the series I sounds better or the same than the II. They go a little cheaper on the bay. And I'll only be using the vintage mode anyway.

Want to get a Rectoverb but I've heard the loop has problems

I need to know if I can run a Boss DD3 in the loop without a problem. Also does the second version have improvements other than more tonal options.

    Dicided on Mesa but...

Which one. I'm looking for a combo that will kick some *** but one I can still play w/o the band thing. Choices (used) in my range are F50 (too loud) ,F30( too small) ,Rectoverb(OK) ,Mark IV (too many knobs). Basically I'm just gonna use one channel and clean up with guitar vol. I like all of...

F-30 clean channel becomes distorted after a few minutes

Don't count out a bad tube yet. Even though you just replaced them. How long after you got "new tubes" did the problem start? Try putting the old ones back in before you do anything else. Or just rotate an old power and pre. If that doesn't help???
