Mark III has arrived from Mesa (Gut Shots) Before & After!

Yes, it would lower the B+ voltage to the preamp sections following it.

    NCD 2x12

Thanks! It's wired mono (single jack/ cup) @ 4 ohms. It's a half-back design but the previous owner also made a top back panel for it as well. It has an older Rola G12-80 in the bottom half and a G12-M EVH in the top. I suppose that would put it @ 100 watts rating total?

    NCD 2x12

I just acquired a Mesa 2x12 cab over the weekend. Can someone please give me some info on this cabinet... model #, age, what speakers came in them, etc.? By the way, it sounds luscious! :D

    Beautiful gear!

    Mark IIA or IIB?

Very cool! Either way it looks like a wonderful, unique amp. Enjoy! :)

    Mark IIA or IIB?

Agreed. Perhaps it has been cobbled together from different amps? :?:

    Mark IIA or IIB?

Ok, understood... I was just going off of igfraso's quote: FYI... mine is MKII-B s/n 5889, built 10/7/1980.

    Mark IIA or IIB?

I suppose that means that since my MKII-B is dated 10/7/1980... it must be one of the earliest examples of that model? :?
  9. B

    Mark IIA or IIB?

It must be one of the very last MKII-A's... my 1980 MKII-B is just a couple of numbers shy of it, according to the serial #. ;) Strange though... mine has the older silver capped knobs on the front and back. :?

    New 2 me... Mark II-B

Cool. Thank you very much for your info and insight! :)

    New 2 me... Mark II-B

Here you go... Looks like a matching pair of MS-12's. The top two speakers are the old Rola Celestion G12-80's.

    New 2 me... Mark II-B

Hello everyone. I'm new here and wanted to get your insight regarding this old Boogie (HG) I just acquired. It's a little rough, but sounds astounding! Also, what's the scoop on these 4x12 cabinets? I've never seen one quite like it. :?
