Hi guys,
Graham from Perth, Western Australia here. :) My rig is a Road King 212 combo with a 3/4 back 212 extension cab.
I might be heading to Adelaide to do some recording in a few months, so I'll keep you posted!
The clinic was a huge success, thanks to the hard work of a lot of talented people. A report on the night (complete with pics) is now online here. :)
...oh, alright - here's a quick preview of the pics...
The gig was a huge success, meaning we'll be doing more in the future! :)
Here's a shot from the show, with my RKI combo lurking in the background.
Oh, btw - That's my new signature series guitar, the Ormsby GG6FG. 8)
With my RKI 212 combo, I run a harmonizer in loop 1 and a delay pedal in loop 2. When I first did this, I found that I couldn't balance the signal on loop 2 - I always had a level drop when I kicked the delay in. I fixed the problem by adding a GE7 after the delay pedal in the loop (a Line6 Echo...
Being a fussy bugger, I wanted a 212 combo with four channels, two FX loops and onboard reverb.
There was one.
Road King. :)
Carrying one is like wrestling a VW Beetle, but worth the effort.
The combos weigh a ton, but it's only one lift, as opposed to two with a head and cabinet. The head/cab rig also takes up more space in the car, but it's a bit easier to change speakers - just plug into a new cab. For convenience, I went for a 212 combo when I got my Road King, and have lost no...
I am running a Line 6 Echo Park delay pedal through the second fx loop of my RKI 212 combo, and had the same problem. I messed with the various level and mix controls on the amp without much joy, so I put a Boss GE7 pedal after the delay in the loop with the level boosted a tad. Problem solved. :o)
I've just started messing with a Line6 Echo Park delay pedal in the second (parallel) loop of my RK seriesI combo, and so far it's coming along nicely. I have the mix on the pedal set at 100%, and am dialling it in via the mix on the loop. After a bit of messing around with the mix on each...
I'm in Daxman's playpen, using mainly the bold setting.
However, when my friends talk about the spongy setting, they tend to get this weird 'someone just spiked my drink' look about them... In a good way.
I'd at least give it a try. :)
