I have a BB preamp from xotic...... if I use it on the burn channel, will I be able to get a metal sound that would work well for Metallica, Hatebreed, Down, Pantera maybe....?

ok. I know it has the 5w mode but is more expensive.....and as people dont really seem to complain about studios22+ or other mesas that are equipped with 2 el84...I thought that it would be suffisiant. but thanks for the advice(Ill go and test)

I repeat.....but was it the combo or the head..?... cause the hiss is probably due to vibrations due to the tiny area between the tubes and the speaker.........the solution might be to buy the head.

perhaps its because of the combos.....the hiss might be inexistent on a head version plus cab.....

By the way.....this is more concerning the power of the amp... on musicplayers.com, the testers were astonished by the power of the 50w.....really really loud.....they put the master on 1 instead of 3! so is it the same with the 25w head? can it handle a gig and compete with other brands 50or...

I think I need to test it..cause ok... the clips found on youtube are not really metal.... BUT: 1. I'm convinced that we do not need a lot of gain in order to do metal....people tend to increase the gain and their sound is not articulate at all.... 2. the clips on youtube are the combos...

Hello! I'd like to know something about the express series... it seems that people who prefer the 50w to the 25w base their choice on the speakers...... and actually, nobody has reviewed the 25w head.......?so, did someone test it?

after thinking about it it seems that a pedal could be quite good for what I want..... The Zvex Super Hard On..seems to keep the sound of the amp , is really simple and helps to have a more saturated sound..... this could be great , couldn't it? so I would have a good clean sound, a warm crunch...
