    reverb for stiletto deuce?

Don't know which way you went. I've gone away from reverb and have been using more delay (a Memory Man Deluxe or Diamond Memory Lane). I've tried most of the reverb pedals. I returned a Holier Grail because of too much hiss. I ended up with a Verbzilla and thought it was the best of the lot...

What do you stick in front of your MESA

First off, I am a new owner of my first Mesa--a Stiletto Ace. They finally made what I really wanted. My Les Paul Standard is very happy. I've got some pedals in my chain, mostly true bypass. Carl Martin Compressor Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Diamond Fireburst Morley Wah Boss CE-2 (sometimes in the...

the stiletto ace:more info on combo and head please

I'm not going to lug that thing up to a scale. I think you're looking at 25kg. It is as heavy as my 4x10 Super Reverb. It does have casters, but that does not help with steps.

    Stiletto Ace Ponderings...

Guess you can't have everything. This amp is more versatile IMO than the LoneStar. True, a simple reverb would have been nice but it still wouldn't have come close to the Kurzweil. I would have been happy with a spring, though.

    Stiletto Ace Ponderings...

The routing on the Kurzweil ASP8 is totally open. This thing is really fantastic. You would never need to buy another effects unit or plug-in (unless you want to go for a $10,000 Lexicon). You can string any number of algorithms together and then you can change the algorithms...

Read above Gig. The Ace has no reverb.

    Stiletto Ace Ponderings...

Darn. Noisy. I gotta say that the Kurzweil does a wonderful job, but for spring--a real spring works best. I've wondered how I could use the spring in my Fender Super Reverb, but haven't been motivated enough to figure that out. I cannot tolerate noisy pedals. Probably because I often like...

    Stiletto Ace Ponderings...

I love the Ace, but that is my complaint about it. I'd like a spring in there. I've been using a Kurzweil KSP8 with it for reverb, so no big problem. I have been disappointed in all reverb pedals. Thus, my current pedal is a Digitech--the cheapest. (Despite having all high end pedals for...

Want to start an Ace users / fans thread?

I actually love the green. I think they make it in black also. I have a 1x12. I wanted something smaller than my 4x10 Super Reverb (I love the reverb tank on that amp.) To FPFL. You're right about it probably not being a problem with recording. I might just need to have the amp turned off...

Want to start an Ace users / fans thread?

I just bought the amp less than a week ago. I have not yet had a chance to really crank it in my studio too much. At lower volume--incredible versatility. From Marshall smoothe to Fender jangly. Very sweet crunch/distortion. My only concerns--no reverb--makes me have to run to my Kurzweil...

    Stiletto Loop - unity gain?

BTW. What is Mesa's opinion between pedals in the loop versus rack gear? I usually use my pedals before the amp.

    Stiletto Loop - unity gain?

I adjusted my Kurzweil effects processor and have balanced cables running from/to the return/send between the Kurzweil and the Stiletto Ace. This really is a great amp.

    Stiletto Loop - unity gain?

My only complaint about the Ace is the lack of a spring reverb. To hear a bit of reverb, I have to go the route of plugging into the front or going through the effects loop. My effects processor is a Kurzweil KSP8. Usually sends and returns on effects loops from amps are unbalanced, right...

Clean Boost pedal vs Overdrive pedal???

If you want a nice boost and overdrive, definitely check out the Fulltone FullDrive 2 1) It has true bypass. 2) It has a very clean overdrive and two more "distorted" overdrives. 3 different settings. It has a boost setting also. Dials for gain and overdrive. I had a TS-9DX. The older ones...
