Hi All, Merry Christmas!! Does anyone know if a Rev B MKIV chassis will fit in a standard MKV headshell - I think so but be good to hear the general consensus on this!! Thanks in Advance.

Don’t let the 90w put you off using these beasts at home - I use mine in 90/full power and as the masters on these are so good it can be whisper quiet. The MK series is all about preamp tube tone anyway so you don’t need to worry about getting the power amp working for these to sound good.

Mine is the same!! The EQ sliders certainly don’t feel as substantial as some of the older MK’s I’ve had over the years, works fine though.

Hmm.... Sounds very much like the issue I had with mine which ultimately needed the JFETs swapping out for the EQ section - not a massive job luckily. I noticed that the EQ wasn’t actually switching out of the audio path completely too - is yours doing this too?

1st real outing with the V today and I ended up using CH3 in IIC mode with gain rolled back as my crunch channel and had CH2 set in MK1 Thick with gain rolled up as my Lead Sound!! Just found the MK1 mode to be easier under the fingers. Will probably try CH1 + a drive pedal to see what that...

Yep!!! Amp just back from tech - replaced JFET’s on the Graphic and all good, I’m sure the EQ was half in previously as it sounds completely different now - it was all honky and nasally (almost out of phase sounding) previously - it now sounds like a Mark Series should sound like!!

Hi All, Any of the tech guys on here - can you help me with locating where the EQ switching JFETs are - I assume they are on the EQ slider PCB and removal of that PCB from the front panel will put me in the right place? Thanks in Advance

Happens with footswitch unplugged too.. I suspect a JFET gone down looking at earlier posts on here.

Hi Guys, Just picked up a used MKV and it looks like it has a switching issue with the EQ. Regardless of where the EQ is set on the front panel it stays engaged - the lights come on/off as normal when in whichever mode (and even in FS mode) however the EQ remains engaged - you can even hear it...

Congrats, I'm beginning to think that the III is the unsung hero in the MK series, it unfortunately gets overshadowed by its bigger brother the IIC+ but these III's can easily hold their own against all of the competition. Have Fun :D

OK, Following on from my Thiele vs Stereo ramblings.... Could I use a Studio 22 as a Satellite off my MKIV - I'm never ever going to get over 3 or 4 on the IV in Tweed/Class A. Does the S22 have an fx loop where I can insert the Sat Out of the IV directly to Power-Amp?

Thanks bg, Yeah, I have seen that, but I'm wondering if I actually need a 2nd powered satellite combo to get the correct stereo delay panning or would a Thiele/ext cab hanging off the 2nd speaker out combined with the Stereo FX returns give me what I need.. Don't fancy lugging 2 MB combos...

Hi Guys, If I am using Stereo FX hooked up to the Stereo Send/Returns on the back of the amp, and I have a Thiele Cab hanging off the rig as well, will the Thiele act as a Stereo cab - i.e will Stereo Delays pan between the 2?
