    Roadster Channel Switching Issues

The problem is in with the foot switch cable. They're lousy. I've gone through a couple of them before I set my rig up,with rjm midi switching.

Surprise - a noob with a Roadster and tone questions

For channel 3 and the 80's sound, try in both vintage and modern settings. If you're playing in your room, you can easily get away with scooping the mids a little more. In a live setting boost those mids to cut better in the mix. I've toyed with my roadster head for this sound and found my...

    Triple, Dual, or Roadster?

Thanks for the input. Tried the triple and tho it sounded great, it was just a bit much to open it up for that sweet spot. I ended up with the dual. I got the special blacked out version. No it doesn't make it sound any better, but it sure looks cool with the black diamond plate and knobs!

    Triple, Dual, or Roadster?

I currently have a dual rec roadster and am in the market for a new head. I have the opportunity to get a reborn triple rec at a great price, though I had my eye on a reborn dual rec to use for a backup. I've also got the opportunity to get another roadster at a reasonable price. I'm quite...

$1800 to spend: what would you get? TVerb,Dual,Roadster,King

+100 I totally agree....and definitely use a tungsol in V1. I use a bbe in my rack, along with other things, and I continuously get compliments on my sound with my Roadster. It's probably my favorite amp in my arsenal!!! Get a ts-9 in front, an eq in the loop if needed, and a v30 loaded cab...

What are the necessities of gigging gear?

One roadie and one guitar tech. Sometimes I carry a spare one of each

    Do Mesas compliment other Mesas?

Many times I use just my Roadster and my other guitarist in one of my bands uses his Recto. Believe it or not, the difference in tone is enough that it actually makes for a great blend. The roadster being a little darker and on channel 4 really compliments his dual rec.

Pic of my current rig - Mesa ~ ENGL ~ Bogner

Nice array of amps there. I brought a few of mine home from the studio as well to do some writing.

    Let's see your pedal boards!

Found a way to make it work. I've rearranged the rack a bit since this picture. In the back of the 4 space rack (plenty of room with a deep well rack) I have my RJM Amp Gizmo for the channel changes on the head (thanks for the advice a while back Dom) and an M5 for extra effects...

External switch: Any recommandation on makers?

Dom, I was unaware of this. THANKS a million. Being another new Mesa user, I really appreciate the heads up. I will disconnect the switching in the G Major and look into the Voodoo labs control switcher or amp gizmo. The manual reads: EXTERNAL SWITCHING: These seven jacks are provided so...

External switch: Any recommandation on makers?

To answer your question about channel switching and effects, here's an easy way to utilize at least 3 out of the 4 channels on your Roadster using a TC Electronics G-Major (you can find them relatively cheap on ebay now) without the need for an amp gizmo. I keep my big-a$$ footswitch plugged...
