if you check out the manuals on the mesa site for the 2 channel dual rectifier it has in there about pulling 2 power tubes. up to you if you do it on your tremoverb. FWIW I use 2 tubes on my tremoverb. from top of page 9 in the dual recto solo head manual (I know its not the tremoverb manual)...

hi I have a couple of mesa amps (combos) and I'd like to swap the speaker cable for a slightly longer one, so I can run a head into the cabs. I know I have to use proper speaker cable but is there any special solder I should use, or is regular stuff ok? thanks

after playing with it more and reading the manual again, I found that the key to getting a dynamic response is to use the presence control. love this amp even more now. absolutely awesome.

the pulling on the pot and it works is probably down to its taken a hit on the pot and its pushed it back so doesn't make contact properly, so you can either replace the pot or you might be able to repair by pushing it back from the back of it. probably best to take it to a tech if you don't...

if you can get an old v1 bottle rocket pedal I think they sound awesome with the BA.

with the amp on - just give each of them a light tap with your fingernail or the end of a pencil, if theyre microphonic you'll hear it from the speaker.

i would try swapping the pre amp valves I think its v1 or v2 thats most likely a problem. have you tried tapping them with your fingernail/end of a pencil test? check the el84s too

your tech probably checked it but have you tried replacing v1 tube. I had similar probs (not as bad) mine needed new tube in v1.

the reverb tank is connected to the amp via RCA jacks (on all my mesas anyway). glad you dont have a problem. rock on man.
