Installed Weber 10vs British series into 5.25 10" combo.

Edward I have the ceramic 10vs. Unless you take the bell off I doubt the alnico will fit with the reverb tank in. Maybe it could be done, but it would be very tough. Now order the speaker right now damnit!

I should also say that I mostly like to play laughable versions of stuff by Robin Trower, Hendrix, Warren Haynes, Robben Ford, Roy Buchannon, Leslie West ETC. Just to give you an idea of the type of tone I was going for speaker wise. So your mileage may vary.

Installed Weber 10vs British series into 5.25 10" combo.

Edward if you like the stock speaker then don't change a thing. I am not a good describer of all the specific attributes you ask for. I will say there is more bass available with the Weber 10VS. But in general the amp and speaker now sound like they are "working together" the sound is much more...

    Celestion Greenback 10 Speaker in a 5:25?

For less than that you could get a Weber speaker. Also it is 16 ohms you would be better off with 8 ohms. Lastly, IMO 30 watts is cutting things a tad close I was comfortable with a 40 watt Weber as they are rated conservatively. But 30 Watts should be ok.

The cleans sound fantastic also. Better than the E-50.

Installed Weber 10vs British series into 5.25 10" combo.

Ok a couple weeks down the road and it sounds even better. This speaker(Weber 10VS 40 watt) cured the boxy sound and just makes this a far better amp. Everyone should do themselves a favor and dump the Emminence speaker for a quality speaker. Emminence speakers IMO sound goodish for cleans but...

Installed Weber 10vs British series into 5.25 10" combo.

Finally got around to putting in a replacement speaker from Weber. The cabinet is so **** small I had to remove the reverb tank and re-install (THANKS MESA!). One hour honeymoon opinion. Much richer sounding, more complex, better bass. Now sounds "Marshallesque". For me it is a vast improvement...

Will a Weber 10" alnico Silver Bell fit into my 5.25 express

Yes it does have a bell cover but the ceramic does not. I would rather go Alnico if possible.

Will a Weber 10" alnico Silver Bell fit into my 5.25 express

I am concerned that it may hit/run into the reverb tank

Will a Weber 10" alnico Silver Bell fit into my 5.25 express

Wondering if anyone has installed one in a 5.25 10" combo. Worried that the depth of the speaker cover will make it not fit. I will go silver bell ceramic iffin' I have to. Anyone?

Express 5.25 E-50 speaker not too good!

Howdy my first post here! I have had my 5.25 1x10 for a couple years and have tried to like the ice picky speaker to no avail. It sounds kinda hi-fi to me like a speaker that should be in a modeling amp or something. Today just for grins I swapped a celestion G-10N-40 watter from a Laney amp I...
