Hey, I just woke up. Give me a break. I'm getting some coffee. LOL

    JCM800

I don't know what you mean by they lack the power section unless you are referring to the tubes themselves. Also, the American models came with 6550 tubes not the 6L6.

    JCM800

People used to turn on their Marshalls, including JCM 800s an put a packing blanket over them an hour or so be for their concert to get everything nice and hot so they would sound better. Of course, when most of that was going on, tubes were a lot less expensive. I notice that JCM 800s, (that...

how important in the fan in mark series amps?

The fan in very important. I wouldn't let the amp run more than 15 minutes or so with the fan unplugged. I hear that you can use 220 volt fans in the fan socket and get much quieter results without any problems and that type of fan is very inexpensive.

4 Sale Boogie MKIIC+ Simul Class Original, Great Condition

A good woman is lots better than any amp. There are plenty of good amps out there and all it takes is money. A good woman takes a lot more than just that, plus money. I had my fun with the C+ and now it is time to move on. I have other amps I am having a great time with but I will always miss...

4 Sale Boogie MKIIC+ Simul Class Original, Great Condition

I apologize, you are correct sir. I wasn't watching the auction at the point that your bid came in. I got an email with an eBay question about the auction and a phone number to call, from what I now know was the second bidder. I didn't realize there were already two bids at the the time and it...

4 Sale Boogie MKIIC+ Simul Class Original, Great Condition

I actually tried that. I got 10 sheets of 2.5' X 8' X 2" thick sound deadening fiber panels and 40' X 4' sheets of very high tech. and expensive Aurilex sheeting and if just didn't do the trick. I am convinced that you just have to build a room within a room and then you have to consider, AC...

4 Sale Boogie MKIIC+ Simul Class Original, Great Condition

I really don't need anything. I am thinking about a Boss DR 880 and some kind of digital recorder and a K R Mega Vibe but your having that is kind of unlikely. I am even selling my Ampeg VL 503. I am definitely scaling down. I am keeping an Ampeg VL 502 that has a built in attenuator that...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270220463610&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017 I really don't want to sell this but not playing out and only having a 20' X 20' garage to play in and rarely being able to crank it up and hear what this beautiful machine can do is frustrating...

    Amp Difference

I agree with Restless but just say that I thing a pedal of some kind is needed in order to use all three channels, if you don't do any fine between channels. I just know that I was never satisfied with all three channels, using the same settings and just plugging straight in. Also, I was...

    Amp Difference

I disagree. I could always get a good clean and lead tone simultaneously by using the right settings and channel combination. The problem with the MKIII's in my opinion, is that you can't get all three channels to work well simultaneously without readjusting. There is a common mod available to...

    Possible Mark IIc+?

Somewhere I read that there were approxomately 1,500 C+s and about 40% were the Simul Class versions. That would be about 600 then. I don't know of any hard figures though.

    Possible Mark IIc+?

How many C+s were made? (I saw one estimate at about 1,500) How many C+ Simul Classes were made? What was the serial number of the first Simul Class? When was the first C+ Simul Class made? My C+ Simul Class was made in April of 1984 and the serial number is 12632. I think it must be one of the...

    Help - C+ and 4x12 Speakers

Now that you mention it, I make little or no change between the FORCE, in combo, 4 X 10" of single detuned 12 cab. Interesting? I know the speakers in the 4 X 10" and the G12-65's are somewhat similar but the FORCE has much different characteristics. V30s are nice too. I thought I was done with...

List all the Boogies you've owned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reverb in my 24 year old MKIIC+ was sounding dead. I looked inside the reverb tank and saw that the foam pad, glued to the top of the tank as a cushion so that the springs don't bang against the metal, had rotted and pieces of it had stuck to the springs. I could have bought another tank for...

    Help - C+ and 4x12 Speakers

You can adjust a C+ or most Mark series amps for that matter, to sound good with just about any speaker configuration. I have tried; EVM, EV FORCE, Rola Celestion G12-65s, and Altec 417-8H speakers in my C+ combo and externally, Thiele 12" and 15" EVM equipped cabs, an early 1970s Marshall cab...
