    Extension speaker question

Some questions have come up regarding possible speaker feed on the opposite side of the stage. Can I run my 1x12 ED combo along with an extension cabinet (2x12 16ohm) on the 8 ohm setting, at the same time? Thanks.

    Troubleshooting help please

Thanks for all the great replies people. Looks like V4 was the noise culprit so Joey B. gets the prize. Replaced a couple other preamp tubes as well as I was swapping...kept track of which ones so I know which ones to start with next time (maybe). I ended up replacing all 4 power tubes as well...

    Troubleshooting help please

Hello fellow grailtonies. I've had my ED for almost a year with NO problems. Moderate use, @8 to 10 rehearsals/gigs a month at concert volume, plus a couple hours a week at bedroom volume. All of a sudden I'm hearing some "crackling" noises from the amp, even when I unplug my guitar and pedal...

    ElectraDyne tweakability...

I find that for studio/recording, I can find awesome tones for any requirement, but in particular the clean mode is the S***. Simply brilliant. I've use both Lo/Hi modes for recording as well, when I have the time to EQ it to taste, and depending on which axe I'm using. Now for live performance...

    112 combo size

I think that is the "short" box 112 bro. My ED 112 is @26-1/2" wide. Cheers

    ED Styles

With volume at 3:00 o'clock, master a @11-12, 90 watt mode, I can live in the blue (vintage low) for our whole set without changing channels. The tone cleans up very nicely when I lower at the guitar or volume pedal. I do use some pedals, including a TS9 with the drive at '0' and the level maxed...

    footswitch dimensions?

The footswitch is @ 5-7/16"W x 4-3/4"L x 2" tall. Frankly, since it doesn't connect "in line" on my pedal board and uses it's own cable, when I play live I've been just running the footswitch cable parallel to the pedal board cable and placing the footswitch right next to the pedal board, on...

    Protective Cage for Power Tubes?

Thanks for the info. I may see about getting one. I'm very carefully when I tuck the power cord back there, and I don't store the footswitch in the amp. But moving from studio to gig, with rushed set-ups and tear downs...you never can be too cautious:-)

    Protective Cage for Power Tubes?

I recently saw a photo of an ED combo for sale that had what appeared to be a protective metal cage, or grill around the power tube section. My ED112 came with no such accessory so I was wondering if it used to come with one, if it was a custom modification, or if it is a stock part, whether or...

    swithing channels

The left button switches between clean and whatever gain mode you have selected last, either blue or red. So you can switch between clean and red, but you have to make sure the gain mode is set to red before the song starts.

    New Electra Dyne

I was very willing to wait for a backorder from Sweetwater. The only reason I purchased mine from GC is because I saw one sitting on the showroom floor, after I was told that there were none in stock at any of the GC's in my area. They couldn't find the "candy", including cover and casters. So...

    Warranty

My ED 1x2 did not have an owner's manual or registration card with it when I bought it from GC. I called Mesa, they said send a copy of the invoice and serial number, along with your personal info, attn:Warranty Dept. I did so and received an e-mail from them within a week that my amp was...

    Mesa Virgin No More!!

If I'm running on the clean mode, Satch pedal is o.k. but you really have to dial it back for continuity, unless you're going to be running it all the time and use volume dynamic. But I've been running in blue (lo vint) most of the time now, whick cleans up nicely with volume adjustment, but...

    Mesa Virgin No More!!

This is my first trip to tone central, as the proud owner of a new ED 112. My 40+ years of playing experience has taken me from Heathkit, to Quilter (yep QSC used to make guitar amps), to 100w Marshall stack, to Lab 5 series, to Fender Twin and Deluxe reverbs etc. Most recently I've been playing...
