    Mark IIB Review

Great post, Thanks a lot!!! So simple yet so clever. You are a smart dude. Makes you wonder why Mesa did not issue such a Footswitch.

Acorkos.... I would love to see a pic of that pedal. Or a wiring diagram. That would be awesome to have a pedal as you describe.

    Mark IIB Review

GTS and Dodger Thanks for that. I assumed that the two jacks mentioned were not fpr the foot switch because of the location. Seems odd as you would need to remove a tube to get at it. I might post a pic

    Mark IIB Review

I agree with that. Years ago I had a reissue twin. I had this oddball Boss rack overdrive with parametrics, I can't recall the model now. I used that rig in a hard rock/classic metal band. Fellow guitarists were amazed at the insane tones I got. Point being is, I agree, start with an awesome...

    Mark IIB Review

Hmmmm very odd. I had a good look and there is no input for an additional foot-switch. Maybe this is only an option if you get both reverb and graphic???? I did see however two quarter inch jacks in the middle of the chassis behind the front row of tubes. I am guessing that is for a reverb...

    Mark IIB Review

Some of you may have noticed my lame mark IIB posts to date. I thought I would post a small review for those who are interested. First up, I played pro for years and have owned a pile of amps and feel like I have a pretty good idea about tone in a live situation. The clean on this is...

    Just arrived...Mark IIB Question wattage

Hello again Just got the Mark IIB. Just plugged it in and it sounds great. I can see its going to take some getting used to in the way that the controls interact. Unlike my vibrolux... one sound and it always sounds awesome. Anyway...... When I got it from ebay it was advertised as 100/60...

    Nomad Question

Thanks for you comments You are right, I did not word that correctly. I recall when Pro Audio in Canberra pretty much had the mesa market to themselves. My comment that they are not that common.....I meant they are not like marshall or fender where there is a lot of it around.

I know what you mean. Tone is subjective. Also it seems sometimes a certain model of guitar, pedal, amp becomes collectible and the myth begins. EG: The Marshall Silver Jubilee amp..awesome amp but is not as good as the hype, you can get a similar tone from a JCM800. I had a listen to your...

Thanks for your welcome. Gonzo, that head looks in good shape, cool color as well. From what I can gather the old boogies are built like a brick **** house. Really high quality heavy duty components. Whats the difference between these and the IIC's?? Its seems that the IIC's are the really...

Hello all I was looking around Ebay and spotted a nice MARK IIB head and cab. I collect amps and purchased it on impulse. I am mainly a Marshall guy but also have a nice old Fender Vibrolux plus a couple of modern amps as well. I thought I might extend my amp collecting illness into boogies...
