Convert Dual Rectifier Roadster to Head

I picked up this 2x12 combo amp a few years ago for a decent price. I keep it my home studio and rarely move it. The thing weighs a ton. I’d like to put the chassis in a head cab. Can I buy a quality less expensive black tolex covered head shell other than Boogie? Also can I use the...

Scored an AMAZING deal on a Roadster Dual Rectifier 2x12!!!

Today I was doing my usual rounds at the pawnshops looking for anything musical. At one store I noticed a Boogie combo in the back. I walked up and saw the asking price and my F'n jaw dropped. I went straight to the sales clerk and asked if they could do better than the $405 asking price...

I just checked out this fully loaded '83 Boogie IIC head serial number 11117. I played it though an 80's Diamond Grill 4x12 this afternoon, and it sounded REALLY good. To me is sounded like my 60 watt IIC+ amp. It's not in the best of shape, but everything is working on it and there are no...

Slow Beckish BT '84 Mesa MKIIC+ 60 watt clip

Here's a really cool backing track in the Jeff Beck style. I wanted to get a nice singing overdriven tone to compliment the backer. Here's the clip. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=633883&songID=6346712

Santana Style Latin clip featuring '84 Mesa MkIIC+ 60 combo

I figured since Santana uses Mesa's for his tone, I'd do a clip to a Santana style backing. I also got brave and layered a 3 part guitar harmony at the beginning. Here's the link: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=633883&songID=6064721

    Mesa '84 MKIIC+ 60 watt VS. '86 MKIII Simul-Class amp clips

I recorded these clips of each of these amps jamming to the same backing track. The IIC+ sounded a little smoother to my ears. I tried the III in using the same settings I used for the IIC+,but it was TOO bright. Anyway I darkened the III up a little to get close to the IIC+,but I couldn't quite...

More MKIIC+ 60 watt combo Jamming to BT !!

I used my Tom Anderson on this on instead of my PRS SE,and I thickened up the tone a bit to make it a little warmer. The contrast of tone at the end is me switching to the neck and middle pickup position for some contrast. Here's the link...
