    Boss NS2 ??

You might not want a rack unit, but I have a Rocktron Hush IIC that I use with my Road King and it is absolutely fantastic. It has no problems with tonesucking that I can hear and I pretty much obsess over my tone... I run it first in my loop and it really brings out the nuances of the effects...

Sometimes we all need to mic... Suggestions?

I've been using a Sennheiser e609 for awhile now and our soundguy absolutely raves about it and won't use anything else for my Road King. I used to drape it over the amp, as well, but found that it had a tendency to move or roll if it was bumped or the mic cable was too stiff, etc. I started...

    Decent pics of the Lester..

Beautiful guitar! It looks like the main guitar that Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Bros.) plays. I have a 12lb Les Paul Standard with Lindy Fralin pickups that is the single best guitar I've ever owned. I had coil splitters on it for awhile but they were pretty useless, really... I have a...

    Another Effects Loop Question

I put my noise gate (Rocktron Hush IIC) first in my loop, followed by a multi effects unit. I like to do it this way because it seems to really bring out the little nuances of whatever effect I'm running. I use the noise gate as a bit of an effect, setting it so it clamps down hard and...

That's really a cool idea! I think I'll give that a whirl on my backup board... Thanks for the advice!

    Replacement speakers

I have a Mesa Road king combo with a 2x12 Rectifier extension cab. The Speakers in each are the Black Shadow 12" made by Celestion. Anybody have some suggestions? I want to use the Rectifier cab for the bottom end thump and the combo for a more open medium distortion and lead sound. Thanks!

    BBE Sonic Maximizer stomp

I bought one of the sonic stomps and ended up returning it. It made little or no difference on my Road King. These units work by correcting phasing problems in an amp. Which, of course, could be caused by many different things, not the least of which is just plain old wear and tear. I tried one...

Building a Pedal Board. How to secure pedals to board?

My pedal board consists of a Ground Control Pro midi controller (for my Road King and rack) a Volume pedal, and a Crybaby wah. I bought a piece of good pine from Lowe's 36" by 12". I put some ink on the rubber feet of the Crybaby and Ground control and positioned them where I wanted on the board...

    TC Electronics G system

My band gigs nearly every weekend and plays a wide cross-section of material. So, when I first got my Road King, I wanted to find a flexible multi effects unit that would work well with the amp and the Ground Control/GCX midi system I was controlling it with. I tried the G major and found that...
