Only modern setting works on dual recto

Hey guys, I've had my dual stashed away in a roadcase for a few months and let my buddy borrow it. I haven't played the thing in a long time but he said that only the modern setting on channels 2 and 3 would work when he tried it. What would cause this?

Using a switching/midi system with Mark IV

Is there any other kind of system to get besides the G major or GT-10? And which jacks would I hook into my amp from the effects board? There is like 6 jacks for every channel, effects loop, eq, etc.

    Mark IV studio tone help

I usually run the bass on the lead channel at about 1.5 and use the graphic eq to dial in a touch of 80 hz. I just want to get some chevelle/sevendust type tones that really stick out and catch your attention. Anyone else have any ideas?
