    Can the Mark IV...

I can get that tone fairly well out of my 2 channel triple recto

Blowing Fuses immediately when turning 3-ch TR

I've got the rectifier tube from hell, I put them all back in and ran it on diodes and it still work but if you if you move one of the recto tubes a bit it'll blow. The tube actually wobbles if you take it out and hold it. I miss playing thru recto tubes so bad, I can't wait till I retube my amp...

Our recent advice from a big label. Your thoughts?

My band is signed to a independant label that the parent company owns several TV networks. We got a lot better at stage presence by having every show filmed, watching the show and critiquing our playing and stage presence. It has payed off a lot, we are doing a battle of the bands competition...

    Help in vocals recording

have you used a compressor on the vox, if you compress the hell out of it it will make them stand out in the mix better and sit back in the mix better when they are too loud.

    Can the Mark IV...

ok never mind I guess they still do make the heads.

    Academic Question: Nomads...

I never got why they make short heads and medium heads. It doesn't seem to make much of a diffence besides looks, in my personal opinion it looks funny to have a big 412 a little head.

    Can the Mark IV...

Why doesn't mesa make them in heads anymore?

    Academic Question: Nomads...

I wonder why Mesa isn't making Mark IV heads anymore? It seems like it'd be good for their sales to do it.

Blowing Fuses immediately when turning 3-ch TR

Have you tried running in diode mode instead of tube rectifier? I was ready to take my amp to a tech before I figured it out, I also pulled out all of my tubes and reseated them which helped cuz a few of them were loose. When you turn on the amp look at the back and see if there is a flash from...

Did I buy the right amp?

I really like the express, maybe i'm just weird?? I knew that already! The F series would probably satisfy what you're after. It goes more hard rock then the express but also has a nice mellower gain voice to it as well

more songs I've recorded with my LSS

Those lonestars are pretty impressive, I gotta get down to my Mesa dealer and check one out.

    Anyway to do this?

Is the Rackmount POD midi controllable? if it is you can try running it thru the FX loop on the head and you should be able to program changes on a midi floor switcher to change between channels and effects. So you could use clean on the amp and POD distortion or dirty on the head and pod FX. My...

Blowing Fuses immediately when turning 3-ch TR

    Splawn Nitro

Agreed, I like the way other amps sound but not when i'm playing because i have been using my recto for so long that it influences a lot my playing, like i know all the inflections and nuances to expect and how long to push a note before feedback etc. I just can't leave mesa even if i tried. I...

    Rivera Amps

Rivera's from my playing with them haven't really amazed me too much but the guitarist from Saigon kick used them and he had some good metal tones and some **** amazing blues tones as well. I guess if you played with them they would sound really good but the ones I've played with I didn't have...

    AMP/F100 QUESTIONS!!!!

I actually saw one in mint condition that didn't have a scratch on it anywhere at a Sam ash for 750. I played it and didn't think it was that great for metal till I switched from orange to red on the dirty channel. I was amazed at how awesome it sounded. Not as mean as my triple rec but still...

    Academic Question: Nomads...

I almost bought a nomad 45 once and it just didn't have enough balls for me. I also hear that the 50's and 100's had problems with blowing tubes and has some issues. I don't know if there's anything to that that's just what i've heard. I did recently play a nomad 100 and thought about picking...

    Downsizing

Those little express amps really kick. I'm going to buy the 5:50 head to use in the studio for all my leads. I play in a hard rock band but I love the bluesy tones the express produces.

    Fixed problem: LOUDNESS

I am SO glad i'm not your sound guy. I played the Glendale arena where i live in Arizona, we're talking a huge hockey arena home to the AZ coyotes. I played my recto on 3! Anything louder then that and you're overpowering the mic and it's going to sound like crap. I'm not flaming you here cuz I...
