Does your guitar shop let you try out amps at home?

I've not bought studio equipment but a lot of guitar stuff and they do the same for me. This is the great thing about supporting local shops when you possibly can. Still, all this been said, I'll bet alot of stores wouldn't go as far as Paul does. We're lucky.

Maybe, does GC let you take it home for approval without paying?

Does your guitar shop let you try out amps at home?

Another poster was commenting about several amps he took home to audition in my area. Is this common?

House full of Boogies (and more)

Great store. The new Guitar Center can't touch them. Take amps home to try out?... great service.

Pictures of the back of a Road King Combo?

Unless I'm just missing it, all I see is the cabs and the controls of the combo from the rear. Instead of getting another open back cab, I'm thinking of swapping my Roadster head and cab (at no loss with my shop) for the Road King combo.

Pictures of the back of a Road King Combo?

Weird, can't find one on any Mesa site. It's an open back, right?

    Roadster Issue

Do you find it's not manageable by cycling though the channels before you switch from standby?

    Roadster Issue

A lot of people here have commented on this pecularity of the circuit and I'm not sure there's a "fix". I cycle through the channels with the my tuner on mute before I let loose with the volume, this tames the pop when the amp is active. I don't use the fx loop, the tuner switch pops worse than...

Can anyone recommend a Tremolo pedal.

I also have the Fulltone, someone traded it in at my local shop and I snatched it up. Very highly recommended. The only downside is its elongated shape on a pedal board.

    Roadster Cleans

Has anyone ever actually run a roadster through a open back C90 cab? If anyone has a shop with enough Boogies available it would be great if they would run this experiment.

Me too. I'm going to find out.

    Roadster Cleans

Sucks it didn't work for you. I can't say it does match the LSS I had for cleans, but there's so much more it DOES do that I like mine. The sum buck has about a million toggle switches and knobs to adjust to get the sounds you want, maybe there's something you missed. The more I ponder this...

Reverb and delay pedals with my recto...

Since the drop I hear in the loop is the about same with or without the DD6 +CH1 I put in the loop, I would assume its the M300. There is a difference, but it's not significant.

    Roadster Cleans

I hear what you're saying, I use the same method for cleans. However I still like the cleans, I'm thinking about getting 3/4 back or LS 2X12 with c90s to stack on my roadster cab.

    Roadster Cleans

I have the Roadster head and Roadster cab. I used to have the Lone Star Special. The roadster has great cleans, but it has V30 speakers instead of C90s. I've heard several people say they're the same cleans as the Classic, I'd like someone with both to chime in.

My New Road King 2x12 Combo - PICS

I liked the OCD because it's very transparent, I don't play much recto gain music and it just adds a nice touch to channels 1 and 2 that's usable for classic rock- type crap. It's one of the cheaper Fulltone pedals, around $170 and probably one that's worth the money. Do a search here, it's been...

My New Road King 2x12 Combo - PICS

The weight thing, my own hangup because of my back, I guess I was raining on your parade and I didn't mean to. It's probably going to seem like nothing compared to the rig you're leaving. OT-Last night I played my Roadster with a borrowed OCD, , I want an OCD now!

My New Road King 2x12 Combo - PICS

The only thing about that amp is it weighs about 120 lbs. I just traded a LSS combo for a Roadster head and cab (I promised myself I'd go the head and cab route this time). I had the privilege of hauling the cab in for a blown fuse/tube today and even the head is heavy for my old back nowadays...
