There isn't a bias adjustment in the MkIIC+ so you have to either change out some resistors to set the bias in a correct range, or try to find tubes that have the correct draw. Did the previous owner do that?
I misunderstood, I thought you had a 100 watter. Those aren't the right tubes for that amp, it needs two 6L6's. Unless it was modded or someone found tubes that matched the bias range, I don't think I'd play it with those. You could do some damage.
CONGRATS BTW!!! ;-)
Simulclass can use two 6L6's in the inner sockets, and EL34's in the outer, or all 6L6's. Non Simuls can only run 6L6's, and none of them use all EL34's. If that's what your amp has don't play it until you get new tubes.
I just got mine back from Mike Friday. It made the trip from Missouri to CA, and back just fine using UPS both ways. I don't worry as much about the shipping there, as I do the shipping back. If it gets hurt a little on the way there, it's in the perfect place for it to be!
It'll do that stuff OK, but I think for what you're wanting you'd be better off with a different amp. Something like the Stiletto or a Marshall with EL34's.
I don't think they're really any higher gain than a Chinese C9 but I've never left them in any amp very long at all. I really don't like the tone of them, dark, muffled, and plain sounding. I'll take EH's or C9's for new tubes every time.
I want to convert my combo to a head, I'd prefer it had the reverb and fan in it, but neither are necessary.
Also if anyone wants to convert their head to a combo and wants to trade, that would be even better. :D

Going by those prices, a person could sell that stuff, buy a C modded to + like this one that you could probably get for several hundred less since this is the third time he's relisted it;

and still have money left over to send it to Mike B to have it tuned up. It...
Looking for one to put in a Theile. If by some chance anyone wants to trade a C-90 that I'm pulling out of the Theile I'm definitely open for that too. :D
A lot more than a MkIV. The non eq versions are still pretty cheap, and with an EQ in the loop they sound incredible. They're about as much as a used Mk IV though...
