    MKIIC+ with EQ pedal

The first time I tried it, I literally did a double take looking back at the amp. HUGE difference is right!!

    just got a IIC+

When I got one of my IIC(+)'s it didn't have anywhere near the amount of gain it should have, and it turned out to be a Bad LDR. Gain level was about like a cranked up Super Lead.

    Mark IV SUCKS!!!

Bias your TSL at 25 per pair and you'll have a good comparison.

Well, I guess the MKV is indeed a reality...

Not on new ones, but if there's a MkV, and it's as good as everyone hopes, I think the market will flood with MkIV's and you'll see them under a grand used for a while.

    The Collection.

MkIIC+ Road King (Newest series Stiletto I'd be happy with that but since you asked for 5 MKIIC+ (With a different transformer) Mk III or MkIV

    what would you do??

It's still just a 360 watt cabinet FWIW, you only add up the amount of the lowest rated speakers in the cab. If you had 2 EV's and 2 Greenbacks, it's still just a 100 watt rated cab.

    MKIIC+ settings?

Do you have an EQ you can put in the loop? It makes a drastic difference IMHO. Even a cheap 45.00 Boss GE-7 can do wonders in the loop of a non GEQ Mk IMHO.

    MKIIC+ settings?

What's involved in having the brightness reduction removed? When I sent mine to MB to be looked over he suggested I have that done, and I'm really thinking I'd like to take it back to stock, it's just too thick all the time.

    MKIIC+ settings?

Congrats!! Had you seen this yet? http://homepage.mac.com/mesaboogie/settings.html As far as Simul-Class, I like it both ways, I haven't really decided which I "prefer" yet though.

Did anyone else just buy a Mark IV on a whim?

Not a MkIV, but I bought a MkIII on a whim because I'd heard quite a few people talking about how good the Mk's are and I found one cheap. I'd had several Dual Rectifiers, a DC-2, DC-3 and 50 Cal, and one time when I was about 14 I tried an old Mk I or MkII of some sort in a guitar shop on...

    what would you do??

I gig with a '68 Plexi and basketweave cab and use my MkIIC with a Theile when I play at my sisters church on Sundays, and often I use my '56 Les Paul Custom at either place so I I'd probably **** can the idea of a recto and gig with the MKIIC, but that's just me. I also have a 44...

You've seen em before but lets see em again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a really cool idea putting the EQ on it too.

You've seen em before but lets see em again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the 4 knob beast underneath you're MKIV? A power amp of sorts?

You've seen em before but lets see em again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a picture of my other MkIIC or Thiele, and I've sold the III, IV's and Recto, but here's a couple old pics

Identifying the version of a Mark II

Congrats! If it hasn't been modded already, they do still do the mod, and I think it's 450.00. I've never played a non "+" version, but most guys say it's definitely worth it. But, you've now got one of the most rare Mesa's made, Most have been modded to C+ already, there's probably only...

    If 4 was 2...

I'd keep the MkIV and the Stiletto, along with the 4x12 and one 2x12.

Just found out Mesa is discontinuing the Mark IV's…

features/tweakability maybe, but does the Road King share any sonic ground with the Mk Series amps? I've never played one, but I've owned several Dual Rectifiers, and IMHO there's almost no similarity in tone between the two lines.

Just found out Mesa is discontinuing the Mark IV's…

+1 I like MKIV's a lot, but I also don't have much use for R2 and I'd LOVE to hear a Mesa Biased correctly and it would be awesome to be able to change out to all EL-34's but I'm OK with 6L6's, I still have all my Marshalls...

Just found out Mesa is discontinuing the Mark IV's…

They made so many, I'll be REALLY surprised if the value goes up, and if the y make a MkV and it meets expectations, the bottom will drop completely out of the MKIV and MKIII market. Just like it did with the MkIII's and the JCM 800 when they were discontinued.

    Greenback+ EV

When you figure max wattage a cabinet can handle, you add up the number of the lowest wattage speaker. Your cab with one greenback and one EV is still only a 50 watt cabinet. If you keep your volumes down, you'll be OK, but if you crank it up, you'll probably blow the greenback. As far as...
