    Modern day DC-5?

Well, I feel a lot better now. I love my DC-5 and wouldn't want to ever perform without. It has been extremely durable over the years and I guess nothing can really go wrong with it that can't be fixed. Unless it falls off a stage?? Thanks!

    Modern day DC-5?

Does anyone know if Mesa makes a modern head that sounds like the old DC series? I have a DC-5 and I'm looking for a new model in case my DC-5 gives up. I've tried the single rec, lonestar and express but they sound too dark.

need to make footswitch for dc-5 pull boost

Anyone know if this is possible? I would like to make a footswitch that will allow me to activate the pull boost pot with my foot rather than pulling the pot. If anyone has made one, or wants to sell one, please PM me! Jim

    Subway Rocket or DC-2/3

I presently have a DC-5 that I gig with and I'd like to have something smaller and similar for my basement. I'm thinking a DC-2 or 3 or possibly a Subway. Does anyone know how the Subway rocket compares to a DC model?

    DC-5 Question

Edward, I like the sound in the "off" position. Does this mean the power tubes are running in their stock form (pentode mode)? I'm assuming in Triode mode, the amp would have less gain? Jim

    I do believe it's a pentode/triode switch! Thanks, Jim

Could be resistors I suppose! Judging from the response of the switch, I do believe you're right. Thanks, Jim

Odd toggle switch located between 6l6 tubes on DC-5

I have a DC-5 in my possession that has a toggle switch mounted in between the two 6L6 tubes on the rear. I cannot find this switch anywhere in Mesa land so I'm thinking it could be a mod. The on/off toggle switch is wired to both 6L6 tube sockets. I'm not sure what it's for. I just know it...

    DC-5 Question

I just opened the unit up and found the toggle switch is connected to both of the 6L6 tube sockets via wires and small caps in between. Could this be some kind of Bias switch?

    DC-5 Question

Thanks for the info Edward. I downloaded the full manual and I fully agree with you that it takes time to digest all of the available settings! I have it set to where I really like it now. As for the switch, I figured it might be a mod too. I have to admit with the switch in the off position...

    DC-5 Question

I'm new to this forum and to Mesa Boogie but I'm happy I made the switch from Fender. Anyhow, I have purchased a DC-5 which I really like and I'm just starting to get into all the possible settings. I figured them all out accept for a toggle switch located on the back between the two 6L6 power...
