the recto sounds a bit scooped, bigger bottom end, but not as tight.. the stiletto has more of a midrange voice, with gentle highs

Never tried! I'd be interested too, other than the weight! I picked up a stiletto 212 and it sounds sick with mark.. The stiletto 412 would PWN!

    Questions for Stiletto users

i think you can cover most of the stiletto tones on ch2, with the master up high if i had the combo, i'd probably get the matching extension cab for it

    Questions for Stiletto users

i had a stiletto for a very short period of time.. i had no trouble selling it  great amp... definitely needs an EQ in the loop, if you're playing it at a gigging volume (for my tastes!) i prefer the MKV by loads.. but its still a killer amp, and some folks probably like it better than...

    Loud noise when changing channels

its common in amps, especially something as common as the MKV.. i've never had a channel switching fender that DIDNT do it.. mine isn't very bad, unless I put one of the channels to 10 watts, and the others above 10

    stiletto vs marshall

you best be trollin! DSL 50's aren't in the same class as the stiletto. IMO, they aren't even an amp that you can enjoy on its own.. they have to be in the mix of a band to sound decent.. too buzzy for my likings!

Stiletto 212 = Great, Portable cab for MKV

Yup. So i went from an orange 212 (epic sounding, epic to lug), to a temporary recto 212 cab, (better to lug, not as big sounding as the orange, lots of bottom end, somewhat scooped sound), to the stiletto 212 (plenty of bottom end, especially on the floor.. a ton of mids, very good for lead...

Stiletto 212 vs. Recto 212 CAB

ive got the stiletto 212 now.. definitely is the sound i was looking for.. ill get to really test it tomorrow at a gig! its definitely smaller sounding, with less bottom end.. but the fat midrange is really there! i tried running both it and the recto together and it sounded EPIC! might try this...

mine somehow got set to el34 one of the first times i used it.. i dunno how.. but anyways, i was wondering why my tone was so wierd-- i played an entire show (at low volume), popped a preamp tube when i used it the next day.. is this lulz?

Seasoned veterans of the Mark V, why should I get the Mark V

Lonestar Special Distortion out of Mark V???

channel 3, mark iv, 90 watts, mids set really high, bass pretty low, presence low, treble adjusted until you get what you are looking for.. use the eq if needed.. you should get ur buddy to come over, put the amps side by side, and then try and clone it.. honestly, my mark v blows away the...
