awesome dude. i've been busy with work myself seldom having time to check in to the forums i am part of. i will try those settings on my roadking as they should match. i have found great settings myself but always looking and seeking for tone nirvana.

    TRIAXIS + 2.90 + MARSHALL 4X12 SAMPLES

i was thinking of getting the onyx a couple months ago but it was too expensive once you got into getting the firewire converter.... soo i opted with the presonus firepod. but ive reached my full capability in that "leauge" and realize that a good mic pre/input is a huge part of getting a...

road king new mic technique just learned

i am using a sennhesier e609 RIGHT CENTER ON THE CONE and a shure sm57 right next to it angled.... so the 609 is on axis 100% the sm57 is off axis and angled at like 45 deg angle. on axis sounds pick up more hiss and high freq than bass. putting it furhter away from the dustcap or more off...

    who use/used triaxis for recording????

people are always gonna ask. you can model any amp to sound like another in a way. but the main variables (aside from the player and the fingers) are always gonna be amp and pickups/gutiar... however the recording process is the hardest thing for people to understand how it truly distorts the...

Mark IV Classic Rock & Blues Clips????

wait which clip is the mark iv on your myspace??? by the way cool tunes dude. it's like this french band i kinda dig, "novelle vauge" very cool sounding stuff i must say. and this is coming from a guy (me) who loves mesahuggah and lamb of god and dream theater. so i like the softer side of...

    Dual Rec first tone clip

yea i have to agree with lnth... just cuz you dont like it doesnt mean it sucks. the quality sucks because its through a camera and the guy wanted to show the tone. it doesn;t have to be a professionally engineered recording for you to able to tell what the true tone is. someone with a good...

road king new mic technique just learned

no prob dude good luck. i want to get it a little tighter and more in your face. i'm gonna try to cut out some of the nasty high freq on the center mic. maybe it will smooth it out. my goal is to eventually get like andy sneap's arch enemy type in your face tones. i always used to mic off axis...

road king new mic technique just learned

room was a tad more beefy. however my studio has no insulation at all. just bare walls and a lot of places for the sound to bounce around as my studfio is not a square. so i really have a sweet spot where i stand. thats the sound i hear in my head and my true tone. like when i jam or when i...

road king new mic technique just learned

i miced the cab just like that. the "arrow" method. it picked up crazy shrill frequencies. the volume of the e609 which was STRAIGHT AHEAD at the cone was reduced to like 50% lower than originally tracked. FYI lnth there is no eq or compression at all. just 2 parts of 4 tracks (2 mics on each...

    mark iv and power tubes

hmm. i was just figuring maybe get more vintagy pre amp or power amp tubes that still retain power. i was going for the whole "sweet" lead lead tone like a iic+ ala petrucci on awake... and i was going for the rhythm tone of lamb of god.... does anyone know if they do anything...

thanks petruccirocks, umm yea well another clip (though its not recorded as well it was recorded before i used this method) is on the same page entitled "rectoverb sample" it is done with a 7 string on my rectoverb combo that im selling (the clip was a made as a tone showcase for prospective...

road king new mic technique just learned

this is the producer Fredrik Nordström's method of putting like one mic DIRECTLTY at the center of the cone and another one right next to it NOTE: THESE ARE NOT MY PICS!!!! THEY ARE FROM A STUDIO IN CANADA. I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS FROM THE ANDYSNEAP.COM FORUM AND A GENTLEMEN FROM SPECTRE SOUND...
