Best "Soft Case" for an Amp Head?

I tried searching the boards to see if there was a recommended "gig bag" style case for my amp head, but didn't find anything. I understand that a road case offers the best protection, but I wanted something with more padding than the Mesa slip cover without the size and cost of a full blown...

need advice from MARKVI or DR owners

Go to a good music store that has all three amps and try them out. Most likely this is not going to be Guitar Center because they never seem to have a Mark IV in stock. Honestly, you're not going to find an amp that does them all. the Roadster might be something to consider too because it...

    Great Seller Alert: Recto-robbie.

I recently purchased a Stiletto Deuce from Recto-robbie and I want to give him a shout out on this board to acknowledge his professionalism and courtesy with the sale. Recto-robbie ensured the amp was shipped securely and took the utmost care in making sure it arrived safely. He also answered...

Need some advice (Roadster / Stilleto Ace / Lonestar)

Search the forums on people who used the 34's with their Roadsters. I never tried it when I owned mine, but everyone has a different opinion on the results. The amp was designed with the 6L6's in mind, so you're not going to get exact Stiletto sound out of it, but it may be a nice change...

Need some advice (Roadster / Stilleto Ace / Lonestar)

Can't say I've played the Lonestar, but here are my takes on the other amps: 1) Roadster 2X12: I owned this amp for a couple months. Make sure that you don't have to move it a lot or at least have a band member there to help you. The thing is ridiculously heavy. Ultimately, this was the...

Opinions on Best 2X12 Cab for Stiletto Deuce?

I'll be heading to the stores this weekend to try some out. Glad someone picks up on the reference. "Kick this *** for a man. I'm not asking, I'm telling!"

Opinions on Best 2X12 Cab for Stiletto Deuce?

Thanks dude. I think I could be mostly described as having a "classic rock" sound, but there are times when I get into "light" metal and I'd like to have a tighter bottom end.

Opinions on Best 2X12 Cab for Stiletto Deuce?

Hello all. I've got a Deuce II on its way and I'm looking for some opinions on what would be the best 2X12 to complement the amp. I know Mesa makes Stiletto cabinets, but I want to know what everyone's experiences were. 4X12's are out of the question now because I want to be able to move the...

    Tips on Shipping an Amp?

Thanks guys. There's a lot of good stuff to take away from this thread and I appreciate it. I think I'm going to my local GC and see if their willing to give me a floor model box that I could use. I think that at least getting a box that is the right shape for an amp would be the best...

    Tips on Shipping an Amp?

I wasn't sure if this was the right spot for this thread, but its amplifier related I guess... Unfortunately I'll be selling my 2X12 combo soon as I'm not using it as much as I should so I'm going to do the eBay thing. My question is, I don't have the original packing, what's the best method...

questions for ACE-head owners in a band

Thanks for the feedback. This amp is very sweet and I'm really in a bind figuring out whether or not its worth selling my roadster for. Unfortunately I can't have both right now so that's not an option.. Roadster: -Super versatile -superior cleans -good distortion -heavy ACE: -good cleans...

questions for ACE-head owners in a band

@Count Nice videos...you have a good sound and I really dig your keyboardist too, he fills out your band nicely. On your sounds: You definitely get the Santana and Journey sounds down well and I bet your PRS helps with that. Are you boosting the ACE at all? The G&R and Floyd solos sounded...

questions for ACE-head owners in a band

Hey Rocky, a lot of people have complained that the ACE combos are too bright, does plugging into the 2X12 recto cab alleviate some of this brightness for more bottom end? Also, in my band were mainly doing zeppelin, beatles, blues, etc. which the stiletto can cover fine. For my personal...

questions for ACE-head owners in a band

awesome guys, thanks for the responses. I definitely need a head because the roadster 2X12 is killing me to move it around. Now it just comes down to whether or not I want the versatility of the roadster over the explosive little ACE.

questions for ACE-head owners in a band

I was at my local GC in Plymouth Meeting, PA yesterday and I jacked into a Stiletto ACE combo..... Man that thing really smokes! The tones were so instantly gratifying without too much tweaking at all! I'm thinking of selling my roadster (2X12) for an ACE head and a 2X12 recto cab. A few...

    Mesa Roadster Vid Clip

I did crank it up to bold for more head room and it was solid.

    Mesa Roadster Vid Clip

Fotis, those were some really sweet settings. I tried them with my band tonight and I felt they sufficed well for hi gain rhythm and lead. I think the key with the DR sounds is not to go too extreme with the gain and bass settings. well done!
