From what I understand, it's possible to take a 100 watt, 4-6l6 amp to 50 watts by removing two of the tubes. I'd like to do this with my B-52 AT212 for the time being. Is this even possible, and if so, which 2 power tubes should I remove?

Are there any recommendations for new tubes in my Nomad 55 2X12 combo? I'm about to buy some new ones, since I'm getting volume swells, and all of the obvious "Your tubes are getting old" clues. I'm replacing everything, so any recommendations will help. I want to stay away from the M/B tubes...

Yeah, I'll do that shortly. For the problem stated above, I've noticed the issue with palm muting isn't prominent with the gain less than halfway. (The sound I like has them set at 6 on channel 3, 6.5-7 on channel 2) Could it possibly be a bad gain pot on both channels? Maybe I'd only need to...

Yeah, even with those settings I'm still not having any luck fixing it. I don't have the graphic EQ, though, the 55 watt models don't have it. Before I go out and pick up a new set of tubes, is it possible that something on my guitars could be causing the problems?
