Thanks 94Trem,it can indeed be wired for 230v using the original transformers using the in series wiring you suggested. Its not straight forward but I have spoke to a Boogie specialist and he can do the work for the same price as a step down transformer..........a job for the new year.

This might sound crazy but I bought this SP about 20yrs ago for a home studio project,I guess its seen about 8hrs use..... After trying various Fenders recently I thought wtf am I doin' here,so I got a used 20/20 and put them together today.... Taking it to band practise on...

I took my 20/20 dyna watt to an amp tech yesterday to collect a step down transformer,[its a USA 117v spec and I'm in the UK]. The guy takes the lid off to see if it could be converted to 230v,even though I know you'd need to buy 230v transformers,anyways after much smoke and mirrors he says it...

So is it possible to convert my 20/20 from 110v to 230v and do you have to buy new transformers. Seems to me that if it can be done then I would'nt have to buy a step down transformer for around £60 Any thoughts on this......!!!!
