    Rectifier w/ EL34's vs Stiletto

I played a Stilletto for the first time awhile ago and loved the sound... it was so much better than my Dual Rec. I noticed that the Stiletto is an el34 amp. I was wondering what kind of differences or similarities could I expect if I put el34's in my Dual Rec.

So there's a fixed bias, what do I need to know? Can I change the preamp tubes, too? Or just the power tubes?

Dual Rectifier CH. 2 and CH. 3 totally different?

I'm finally getting to know my Mesa pretty well and I noticed that the two overdrive channels have very different sounds... both are high gain channels but, ch. 3 seems to be a bit bright, and ch. 2 seems a bit muddy... even with the same settings... is this a problem or is this normal??

Considering it is a used head, I'd like to bring it down to someone who knows exactly what's going on and look at the entire...

Do you have a series 1 or 2 single? I'm not sure the differences in preamps, but I've heard the series 2 singles have great clean tone. I have a lower end Gibson SG, and no the cleans aren't amazing, but I used to play a Marshall DSL100 and I had no complaints with my clean. I am really...

    Single Rectifier or Road King?

I was originally in the market for a new Single rectifier for $1399, but a friend just offered me a Road King for $2000.. that's not very far off from what I was originally going to pay. What would you guys think? I enjoyed the single's simplicity, but the getting the Road King just seems like...

Single rectos sound different from Duals or Triples?????

Ok ok, cool. I know ultimately I'll have to do what you did and just try it out. If you think you could make a better judgement based on my style, my bands myspace link is in my signature... some of the songs are a mixture between my Marshall and a Roadking, but it might give you an idea.

Single rectos sound different from Duals or Triples?????

Hey guys, new here and I had a few questions about the rectifiers. I play a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 and I think it's about time I moved over to Mesa considering the primary amp on my bands recording is a Roadking. I've been shopping for the rectifiers and I've heard a few different stories so...
