    Lonestar Classic & EL34's ??

My Eurotube package will be here either today or tomorrow and I'm getting together with a friend of mine who is a real amp tech-head. We are going to fool around with settings with the Mesa tubes still in there and then make the swap and compare. Should be interesting. I'll be sure to report...

    Lonestar Classic & EL34's ??

You need to talk to Bob directly, tell him what you like and don't like about the amp, the style of music you play and the guitars you are using. He will advise based on your situation. For me we discussed EL34's , E34L's and KT77's. With the 34's you can expect less bottom end (may or may not...

    Lonestar Classic & EL34's ??

Is anyone using or has anyone tried EL34's in an LSC? I'm tempted....

Clean Boost pedal vs Overdrive pedal???

22db of boost is a hell of a lot! I use the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster and keep it at it's minimum (6db) setting.

    Lonestar Cabinet question

Jack, What was the cost of the cabinet? Did you get it direct from Mesa? Thanks, Dennis

    LSS With Amp Stand

If you want to keep your amp on the floor so you don't lose bass response and want to tilt it back, try the STANDBACK http://ampstandback.com/ it works great for my LSC 1x12!

Another Jersey guy! Good to meet you, mloiaco, I'm Dennis and I have an LSC 1x12.

    Lonestar and Tube Screamer

I have a bunch of pedals in front of my LSC. I use a Boss OD-2 to give a little crunch on the clean channel and to send Channel 2 over the edge. :-) I also use a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster for a clean boost. Other than those I have Chorus, MXR Phase 90, Tremolo and Digital Delay.

    listen up lsc'ers

I'd be concerned about using the EL34 bias with 6L6's.

    listen up lsc'ers

Two questions: 1) No concerns about voiding your Mesa warranty? 2) How much for the set of JJ's?

    LSC - Solo control

Yep, I just prefer to be working from an informed perspective. :)

    LSC - Solo control

OK...that means that I've been using it wrong for the 4 months I've had it. Oops!!

    LSC - Solo control

It's possible that I misunderstood the language in the user manual.... "SOLO is an additional final output level control that is wired in parallel with the OUTPUT control. It is capable of a setting above that of OUTPUT and cannot be set below." Does that mean that when starting the SOLO...

    LSC - Solo control

Despite what Mesa says, I find that if I set the SOLO control slightly lower than the OUTPUT control, I still notice a difference whn I hit the SOLO button on the footswitch. It seems like there is a low-end boost. Mesa says if SOLO is lower than OUTPUT, than the SOLO function doesn't do...

Anyone put tiltback legs on a Mesa?

Strumminsix, I've been using the standback with my LSC. http://ampstandback.com/ It's inexpensive, folds up into my gig bag, is easy to setup and allows a couple of different angles. The only negative is that I have to remove the casters.

LSC: Do you use the Solo feature?

I've gigged with my LSC only about four times so far, but something is becoming readily apparent: I don't think I like the Solo feature. The problem for me is that I don't always need to go from this exact level to that exact level. I need more variation. During our last set on Saturday night...
