22db of boost is a hell of a lot! I use the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster and keep it at it's minimum (6db) setting.

I have a bunch of pedals in front of my LSC. I use a Boss OD-2 to give a little crunch on the clean channel and to send Channel 2 over the edge. :-) I also use a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster for a clean boost. Other than those I have Chorus, MXR Phase 90, Tremolo and Digital Delay.

I'd be concerned about using the EL34 bias with 6L6's.

Two questions: 1) No concerns about voiding your Mesa warranty? 2) How much for the set of JJ's?

It's possible that I misunderstood the language in the user manual.... "SOLO is an additional final output level control that is wired in parallel with the OUTPUT control. It is capable of a setting above that of OUTPUT and cannot be set below." Does that mean that when starting the SOLO...

Despite what Mesa says, I find that if I set the SOLO control slightly lower than the OUTPUT control, I still notice a difference whn I hit the SOLO button on the footswitch. It seems like there is a low-end boost. Mesa says if SOLO is lower than OUTPUT, than the SOLO function doesn't do...

Strumminsix, I've been using the standback with my LSC. http://ampstandback.com/ It's inexpensive, folds up into my gig bag, is easy to setup and allows a couple of different angles. The only negative is that I have to remove the casters.
