I found a site online that stated, "do not to attempt to try and stain the caning, as it will not properly adhere". But I think this aplies to directly staining, and not to adding it to the water. When I find some caning, I will cut some swatches and to some exprimenting. Will let you know.

I was curious if you could add stain to the tepid water to darken the cane? If so, in what amount in proportion to the tepid water? I'm guessing that the cane is stainable :?:
