I only have ever used Mackie Tracktion 3 and to me it's really wonderful for small demos and intermediate projects. It's really intuitive, but I have been seeing myself lately work with other people who have protools and it's hard to work on each other's project. Am I missing something here...

im not familiar with the dc at all, but some amps need to have something plugged in the send jack for the return jack to be active. heck, some amps even require something plugged in the input jack for the effects return to work - like my vetta. but that's another story.

the easiest way i can think of is using a splitter to the input of the amps (the mesas), then using a mini-mixer to 'sum' the effects send (or slave out) of the mesas, then connecting the out of the mixer to the fender satellite so all the amps share the effects of the fender. just watch out for...

if you love the dc and are keeping it, i would go with the dual recto since you're looking for a different kind of gain. its clean channel (3 ch version) is really good for a high gain amp imo. i have a mesa quad and a 3ch dual rect (pre 2010) and i love both - covers a lot of territory.
