The DC is definitely more Recto voiced. It's a great amp, but to me doesn't sound much like a Mark IV.

What's the scale length of the guitar? Ernie Ball makes a 'Not Even Slinky' set that's 12-56 that would work pretty well. I use 11-56 for D standard and drop C, so I'd be willing to bet that 12-56 would work great in C standard

I swear by it. I've got an 85 in the bridge of all of my EMG loaded guitars.
