Just seconding the opinion... with a V:90 and IIC+, which are my reference points, find the EVM is a great fit. It's flat response really reveals the amps inherent character. It's certainly not a fit for any amp but with a Mark it floats my boat. Interesting tidbit is when I was up at Mesa...

One of my favorite things to experiment with. The V:90 power amp has so many options. The IIC+ preamp thru the V:90 is amazing.

:LOL: yes I have to agree. So the EVM swap was very straightforward, both being front loaded, maybe 30mins and... it was worth it. The Thiele EVM is certainly an improvement WRT to it being in a similar sized semi open back 1x12. If you are one who likes that EVM voicing, you'll really like it...

From my experience.. some of it depends on the cab. I have a custom vertical 2x12 that sounds very different then my Std Recto 2x12. The vert has a big sound, deep with major presence but it's a bigger enclosure. Personally the closed back Recto 2x12 with v30s, while punchy and focused lacked...

FWIW I run 4CM with all my Mesas and a midi controller upfront to control multiple devices. Can't live without it now.
