    mesa transatlantic!

I also played one and thought it was a fantastic little amp. Some great cleans out of it.

    Deadening a room

If you have the ability to augment the room by creating odd angles (no perpendicular walls/ceiling), this also helps a lot.

    AIC Check my brain tones

Just saw them back when they played in Chicago. While I hate the Aragon (because it is an acoustical nightmare for live rock shows), Jerry and the rest of the band were simply awesome. He really had a killer live tone.

    Avatar cabinets?

can't speak for the guitar cabs, but I had a B210 Neo bass cab and it was a VERY good sounding cab, especially for the size. It was also surprisingly lite.

    tube combo for metal

If you can find a Subway Rocket, the contour channel does a great high gain metal tone.

Loud pop on gained up Stiletto channel change

this seems to be common with a lot of Mesa amps from what I've read. I have the same thing happen with my Subway rocket. I've noticed that if I stop playing when I switch, the pop isn't as loud.

    Solo Switch goes POP

I've noticed so far that on my Subway rocket, if I'm playing while I change channels I will get a loud pop. If I stop playing, it will still pop, but not nearly as loud. I've tried different methods, like clicking both buttons (rhythm and contour) several times before coming out of standby.
