I just bought I 2 ch recto, but I can't deal with the lack of sustain, and no pick attack. But the over all tone is great. I am also consider just sending it into voodoo amps, but that means there is no posibble way to get my money back from this amp as I paid $1250 for it. Hence the wondering...

I just put the SED EL34's in my 2ch recto, very nice sound, smooths out some of the hight end fizz.

I'd check your bridge, make sure the strings are seated good, and check that the strings are not touching the back of the saddle, if it is raise up you tail stop a bit. But WTF do I know????

Dude, I knocked down a light fixture the first time I cranked up my ace in practice, it is more than loud enough and I have a LOUD drummer. I used a stiletto cab as well. Good mids.

Check out my new recto, this thing just blew me away with it's sound, it's now my fav. boogie ever. I over paid a bit but it's in 100% mint perfect, came with orig foot switch, and tubes, and I got him to kick in a brand new set of tubs as well, for $1250.00.

I put a set of the rio grand crunchbox / punchbox into my ibanez, with a .50 cal. I play Eb / c# drop they are unreal massive chunk and clairity.

I'm thinking of buying a mark IV, but I would have to buy one sight un-seen as my local dealer won't stock any IV's. so... I have a .50 cal + now that I abslotuly love, how close is the IV to the .50?? I play pretty high gain about 7 on the master of my gain. I would lile to get a tad more...
