    Dating a Trem-O-Verb

Wow! I must be dating her grandmother....mines R-oo3756. But she's still got the moves, and doesn't look her age!

    Best Mesas for low volumes?

    Best Mesas for low volumes?

Why bother with a Mesa if your going to play that low? Sorta like buying a Ferrari to drive around the block...

    Burstbucker Pros or Emgs

+1... I have EMG 81/85 in my mohogany/mohogany Schecter Hellraiser. They are great for metal, but not particularly versatile. That is OK with me as I try to cover some tonal territory with three different guitars with three different pickup choices.

    Schecter vs Gibson?

If you stay in the C-1 line, I think they are good. My most recent guitar was a C-1 Hellraiser FR. They are mohogany/mohogany w/ set necks that look and feel like neck throughs. It weighs in at around 11 lbs; I'm guessing but it feels slightly lighter than my LP which is 12 lbs. I have an...

Price Check on a Tremoverb Head

I got a great deal last spring... DR TOV head ('95-'96) in excellent condition + 212 rectifier cab + Hotplate attenuator + two 12 guage speaker cables for $1250 + shipping. The TOV had just been gone over at Mesa about six months earlier w/ $250 bucks worth of new tubes and electronic bits (he...

    Tips on Shipping an Amp?

    1. Double box for sure, and give at least two inches around for bubble wrap between the boxes. Even better if you can add cardboard corners that came from another amp/TV box and use them with the bubble. 2. UPS will NEVER reimburse you if it is wrecked. They just won't. I have been shipping...

    Roadster, Dual Rectifier or Rack???

Hotplates do suck tone. The more volume you are trying to cut down, the more they pull tone out of your sound. About a year ago I got a used Tremoverb+212cab+Hotplate as a package deal. I played with it for awhile. Even if you bring the volume of the attenuated sound up to the level of...

    Roadster, Dual Rectifier or Rack???

I would suggest looking for a Dual Rec or, my favorite, a DR Tremoverb in very good condition used. I bought a Tremoverb head w/ a 212 Recto cab and a Hot Plate with the neccessary cables for $1250 last year off ebay. It was a great deal! It was the best move I could have made. I love the...

    mesa newbie Q

I've had a Dual Recto Tremoverb for about 8 months now that I got off the 'bay. It has a great range of tone and is extremely versatile. Now, it is the only Mesa I have owned, though I lusted after one for years. Mine is a head and I have two 212 recto cabs. There is a TOV combo that can...

The Tremoverb - I get what you lot mean now!

I've had a TOV head w/ recto cabs for about 8 months now and completely love it. The really great thing about it is it's versatility and range. Mine is set up with 6L6's and I go for the opposite of you.... I like spongy and vacuum tube recto but I play mostly rythm. My guess is that you...

    Which one ???

If you like rectos, you might consider a DR Tremoverb. It has all the distortion DRs are known for, but have a better clean channel.

    New Mesa Owner (newb warning)

I've seen live bands using a DR for amps but with bass cabs.

PICS of Custom FootSwitches for Mesa Boogie Amps

I don't know guys......I am not too sure about this guy. I contacted him by email about three weeks ago about a 4 button TOV switch box and it took a week to hear back. Said they were inundated with spam from China and he was using a different email address to get around it. OK. So, we...

4 Button Footswitch - What every Tremoverb owner will want!

I just got this after market four-button footswitch for my TOV head yesterday and I'm really happy with it! It is a nice solid feeling footswitch box. Although not industrial strength, it seems very sturdy. It incorporates all four footswitchable features for the TOV in one box; Channel...

From Eden to Mesa, but which Mesa?

Thanks for the input! A question I have about the M-Pulse is whether you can create any gain distortion or whether you would need to rely on pedals? That is why the BB750 is in the running. But I like the idea of the compression control on the M Pulse, especially since he goes between slap and...

From Eden to Mesa, but which Mesa?

My son has an Eden WT400 with a Eden D212XLT and a D210XST. He loves the cabs, so they are staying, but the 400 is getting old and needs to be a backup now. I have a Dual Rect Tremoverb head w/(2) 212 recto cabs that I play and he loves the Mesa sound as much as I do. But which bass amp...
