    The legend or the MKIIC+

I have a Mark IV and have been thinking about a Mark IIC+ for over a year now. My reasoning is that I don't use RHY 2 a whole lot. So the question is: would it be worth it to shell out for a IIC+ or can my Mark IV get close enough to those tones to warrant forgetting about channel 2...

    Mesa Boogie 50 Caliber +

I talked to a guy who used to be an authorized Mesa authorized tech. He informed me that a bias on the amps goes a long way. For this reason I wouldn't return it to factory specs. If you intend on hanging on to this amp, I'd say replace the reverb tank. If you think you may sell it don't...

    Mark IV issue: no sound

Could the master volume knob be pulled out? Otherwise I'd check preamp tubes V1 and V2.

Updated: ProNet Pricing as of January 2011

I worked for a dealer that would ONLY budge on prices if the amp had been discontinued. For example, we let a Maverick go for less than the old pro net for it. By the way, dealers don't make s#$% off of Boogie for anyone who doesn't know. Its mostly a pride thing.

is MF/GC going to sell boogie amps online?

Times are tough right now. It may not be a bad move for them to expand the way they sell. If they start dealing with MF though...our local GC is bad enough at selling them.

Mesa-less for a period of time....

I fell on hard times last summer and had to sell my Mark IV. I feel for ya, man.

    Favorite speakers to record with?

I really liked an open back 1x12 C-90 cab that I had, with two SM 57s; one dead center and one slightly off center. It created a unique sound. I also liked mic'ing from the back of that cab.

    Change in Mesa advertsing policy.

I remember the days when you could say you had Mesa on your site but couldn't even give your inventory. Our rep told us that "if a Boogie just happened to be in a picture of your store, its OK," which we took full advantage of.

Ordered Stiletto Ace. Is wait time normal????

I had a few customers upset once because they literally ordered the week after Mesa stopped building what they ordered. One guy had some diamond plated Recto cabs that took a little over three months. On the other hand, we were once quoted the same lead time on an Ace head and got it in two...

    Question about the Maverick

What a heavy beast! I really liked the Maverick series. The controls were simple enough but could cover a wide range. I owned an F series amp too. I would say that the F series does heavier stuff better but I liked the Maverick better anyway. Its the only Boogie I used a boost with, but...

I PLAYED THE MESA BOOGIE MARK V

I don't understand why they don't reissue the C+. It seems like no matter how good a Mark has been after that, people always want the C+.

Mark V voicing and head dimensions

When I had my Mark IV I always played with scooped mids at first. Then that mid slider crept up little by little. Eventually I quit using the EQ all together.

    Trouble with Mesa F-50

I worked for a dealer once and we got several calls about the amp not functioning in a similar manner. All of them involved the mute switch.
