I ws told that it would be about 8 weeks to get my Stiletto ACE. I just got the standard green with tan grill. Is this a normal wait time?

Sadly, that normal wait time for anything from Mesa. Might be a little shorter, but with them working to but out the Mark V and Electradyne, they've got a lot on their plates.

Yep, although they are a bigger company, they are still boutique. So it takes them some time to fill certain orders. You may get it quicker.

Your dealer can also call other dealers for stock etc....

Sounds about right. Even if the amp is standard vinyl and grill, ordering oven fresh from the factory takes a while. Were you buying the amp from a chain store or small Mom n Pop. Usually bigger stores have the ability to call around and get what you need from another store.

The wait time is normal for Mesa. although I ordered a Roadster head in the first week of Dec 08, and received it 3 and half weeks later. I'm sure with the demand of Mark Five it will take bit longer you never know. My order shocked the store manager that it arrived so quickly?

What I'm 99% sure they do is run one amp at a time so it's a matter of waiting till your choice comes up.

Correct. They use 'swing shifts' for amp production - but can't remember exactly how many weeks for each. But, basically, they make nothing but Roadsters for a few weeks, then nothing but Mark Vs for a few weeks, etc, etc. If you happen to order yours right before they start making that particular amp then you'll get it much sooner. It's just a matter of luck I guess.

A friend of mine ordered a Nomad 1x12 combo. The dealer told him 6-8 weeks.....

It took 6 months! I did not think the Nomad was that popular!
But if they build in shifts, as has been suggested, that could explain it.... 8)

We also wondered if the dealer was doing something unethical (like selling his ordered amp for quick additional cash and then ordering another???), as I called Mesa and they said it should not take that long........

Curiously enough, now that store is no longer a Mesa dealer! Mmmmm........

I would call Mesa and put their "feet to the fire" to obtain an accurate ETA before ordering. If a dealer tells you different, I would be a bit suspicious.....
Good luck :D

last time, quoted 8-12 weeks, received in week 13. This time, so far...well, there was no estimation since I ordered the amp before it was announced ;) Now we're on week...Five.

I've been quoted 12 weeks in the past, and it took that long on a custom covered 3/4 back 1x12 cab. 8 weeks would be gravy, baby.

I had a few customers upset once because they literally ordered the week after Mesa stopped building what they ordered. One guy had some diamond plated Recto cabs that took a little over three months.

On the other hand, we were once quoted the same lead time on an Ace head and got it in two weeks. You just never know.

I just got my LSC last month, it took about three months to come. They originally quoted me eight to ten weeks.
