    Roadster: Bold & Spongy Question

Ditto. I recently discovered the 'spongy' setting while trying to learn VH tunes. :)

The cats out of the bag...

What is the dealer's return policy? If there isn't a restocking fee I would return the amp and exchange it for something else, if you aren't happy. I did that with the first Rectoverb, The F-50 and finally my Recto cab when I purchased the DR off ebay.

    PROBABLY DUMB IDEA

I don't think the Stilettos can just take 6L6's without the installation of a pot in the circuit to correct bias voltage. Feel free to correct me.

Help me find the right amp!

All the aforementioned amps are great - considering you have a budget for it, and again, an F-series or Express are probably some of the most versatile Mesa's, and they aren't too bad on the wallet either. I was about to recommend the Single Rectifier Rectoverb combo, of if you can find it, a...

Bought a Roadster head, now I need a cab. Help me find.

Honestly, I think my 2x12" Horizontal Recto cab is enough. But, if you really need the extra movement of air, I'd rather get 2 2x12's - you could bring 1 or both depending on the venue.

    Case for dual Recto?

    Yeah that's true.

    Case for dual Recto?

Hey. I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/TUFFBOX-Case-for-MESA-BOOGIE-TRIPLE-RECTIFIER-HEAD-H_W0QQitemZ290083310252QQihZ019QQcategoryZ121163QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it looks like the answer for my need for a hardcase that doesen't necessarily have to have the ATA cert and the pricetag. Anyone tried...

Do they make amp cases that *aren't* ATA?

Thanks for the responses guys. Turmoil - I know a case like that would be the abosolute best, but that's actually what I don't want - as in its too much for my budget and what I need. But thanks though. :) I don't really know what my budget is: maybe something around 50-75 the most.

Do they make amp cases that *aren't* ATA?

Hey. I'm looking for a hardcase to keep my Dual Recto head in, but the thing is I don't have much to spend. :) I really need something more protective than the Mesa slip cover, but I don't necessarily need something that can survive in a plane's baggage hold, I probably wont be playing any...

    Rectifier 2x12 Vertical Slant Cab

Yeah they are. I love my Horizontal Recto 2x12" cab.

When were the 3-channel Rectifiers released?

Yeah I saw that one too - I think on ebay or craigslist, i don't remember, but on closer look it is a Single Recto.

Silent practicing - with a Dual Recto?

Wow that axetrak looks pretty good. I think I might try that. Also - would I start a fire with the headphones in the speaker jack :)

Silent practicing - with a Dual Recto?

Yeah, I think I might pick up the Behringer plus the Hotplate. I kinda feel the hotplate is a good investment anyway, as it will probably stay as I go through amps in the future. I was thinking, I have the Pod XT - could I use that as a cabinet sim?

    Reverb?

How much are you willing to spend? A great pedal is the ElectroHarmonix Holy Grail reverb pedal. You can also get a good rack processor like G major.

Silent practicing - with a Dual Recto?

I have a Pod XT. It's decent. Ironically, after using the F-50 with headphones, and going back to the Pod XT - the pod sounded really fake and lifeless.

Silent practicing - with a Dual Recto?

Yeah I saw that. I heard that was one of the best loadbox/speaker emulators but the $800+ tag is a little too much :) Any other ideas?

So I went to GC yesterday to buy a Roadster....

When I bought the F-50, it was a 'virgin'. Still in the shipping box, sitting below the floor model F-50. When I bought the Rectoverb before that, it was a floor model, but no joke it was extremely fresh, they couldn't tell me how long it was on the floor.

Silent practicing - with a Dual Recto?

Thanks. I was researching attenuators, but the hotplate's line out isn't speaker emulated, wouldn't it sound really fuzzy? Or does it sound have way decent?
