    Technical question

Cool, It's good to know it's safe to use this way. And I think I will try the 12at7. I do find the drive to be fizzy. I think I will alway prefer the rectifier, but It's nice to have a good backup. Its sad that My 1970 Traynor is WAY more reliable then the Mesa. F'n LDR's lol.

    Dual Rectifier volume problem

I have a 2 channel Dual rectifier and channel 1 green is working fine but channel 2 modern (red) I have to turn up way higher than normal to here it. Would this point to preamp tubes because it is not both channels? Or could old power tubes cause volume loss in 1 channel only? Thanks for any...

Nova Delay in dual rec series loop

So I just modded my Dual Rec loop to series and now I would like to try a digital delay. My dd-2 and dm-3 have unclear repeats in the loop. I assume it is because the dm-3 is analog and the dd-2 in half analog? I'm looking for clear repeats and tap tempo when using high gain. Is there a...

    2 CH DR Loop Mod

Just did mine, Works great!! I only removed the green wire. Does it matter where you keep the "loop active master" knob? It seems to only affect volume like the Mix does. I have the send and mix on 100%.

    which 2x12

I use a Mesa 1x12 widebody for jams. The open back seems to help everyone here me in a small room. And then I use a 4x12 Marshall for gigs.

    spax7in a Dual Rectifier

Am I the only person that cant seem to get the spax7 inside the steel cover? Or do you leave the cover off? Or remove the foam on the tube? A 12ax7 fits perfect inside the cover. So that's what I have been using. But I would like to try the proper tube, see if there is less feedback or noise...

Dual Rectifier 2 channel as a preamp

Is There a safe way to use just the preamp of my 2 channel Dual Rectifier. I want to run my mesa/Rectifier preamp into my Pearce poweramp. I know you can harm a tube amp by not having a load attached. And my cab will hooked up to the other power amp.

    parallel loop

ya lost me "Disconnect the wire that comes from the Send pot from the Mix pot" do you mean from the send to the mix or to the send from the mix? but it sounds like an easy mod. I expected much more work...

    parallel loop

I have a 2 channel dual rectifier and have been fighting with the crappy loop for years. Is there any advantage to having a parallel loop? I know in the 3 channel you lose the solo. But what do you gain in the 2 chan. version?

fx loop problem 2 chan. dual rec

i have a boss ge-7. in my experience when you put a EQ in front of an amp it works like your guitar volume knob. on clean channel it controls volume but on overdrive channel it just adds gain/dirt and a bit of volume.

fx loop problem 2 chan. dual rec

No the eq in front will not give me enough of a volume boost. if there isn't a solution to my problem i may have to put the reverb in front with my delay. Or get a 3 channel amp, I hear they don't sound as nice as the 2 channels though.

fx loop problem 2 chan. dual rec

I use an eq pedal in the fx loop to boost the volume for leads. The problem is when i add a rack reverb to the loop. When the eq is off the reverb sounds fine, but when i turn the eq on the reverb becomes strong and overbearing. Iv tried switching the order of the two in the loop but it doesn't...

2 chan. Dual rectifier fx loop mod

I have a 2 channel dual rectifier. which has a parallel fx loop so I here. I run a EQ pedal in the loop now for a lead volume boost, but over all have a very simple tonefull sound for playing bands like Lenny Kravitz, Slash,Jet. But when we play bands like Van Halen and other old metal bands my...

    dual rectifier with 2 cabs

The 2 channel dual rectifiers have two 4 ohm outs a 8 ohm and a 16 ohm output. I know the manual says to hook up two 8 ohm cabs to use the two 4 ohm outs. So its obviously ok to do that but isn't it ideally 8 ohm to 8 ohm to get best sound? also my two cabs are a mesa 1x12 and 2x12 and they...
