so everytime i palm mute an open low e and have a rest after it i get this annoying little ringing that happens. it only happens on the low e and only for half a second or so, but it's still noticable; i'm using .10-.46 d'addarios if that matters, although it did it when there were 12's too...

around my house there are UPS stores where you can go and get packing supplies (boxes, peanuts, etc.) and ship items. we also have a store just called "pack n ship" which is pretty self-explanatory. anyway, you could look through the yellowbook or something for places like that in your area...

metal is generally where EMGs shine. if you're looking for versatility (and this is just based on my experience with EMGs, as i've not played burstbuckers yet) i'd opt for the burstbuckers. just my $.02.

im about to replace the stock pickups in my carvin with an air norton (neck) and a d sonic at the bridge. it looks like the stock pots are 500k, so i should be ok with just leaving them in and swapping the pups, right? i've also read reviews where guys said they had the bar in the d sonic...

im pretty sure it died. i was playing some audio and it was all crackly and staticy. i thought it might just be the audio file, but i went to play something else, i heard a light pop noise from my speakers and then i get no audio at all. i'm using external jbl speakers, but i know it's not...
