The DC amps are awesome! My DC-5 never had any heat problems. The lead channel sounded very Mark-like, but with a bigger low end if you dug in. The cleans were outstanding too. Wasn't the Nomad series supposed to replace the DC? I had a Nomad 45... it was not an improvement in my opinion...

I think the biggest difference I noticed came from switching out a few preamp tubes. The right ones there took some of that harsh fizz out of the high-gain stuff. I think I used a few JJ's for mine. I bet that combined with the EL34s would be a pretty cool setup.
