Mesa pedal to replace my TS9

Sorry for the confusion ... Ideally, I would want to replace the TS9 (which stays on all the time) and use a different pedal all together. The TS9 sounds good and "crunchy" for rhythm stuff but it just doesn't provide enough compression and harmonic overtones for lagato style leads. Others have...

    Anyone own a PRS SE?

I have four PRS guitars. Three of them are SE's. Great guitars.

Mesa pedal to replace my TS9

That sounds like what I'm looking for. The TS9 is "okay" but it's definitely not "balls-to-the-wall".

Mesa pedal to replace my TS9

The TS9 works "okay" but not as tight and/or as quite as I'd like. Which of the Mesa pedals would you recommend using in place of the TS9? I keep the TS9 on at all times for my overall "sound". I'm looking for a new pedal that will just push the gain of my DR over the edge and give me a lot of...

    Gibson Flying V

I bought this guitar about 6 months ago from AMS. It was advertised as a "scratch and dent" and discounted considerably. That concerned me a bit, so I called AMS and asked if they knew what deemed the guitar a "scratch and dent". They couldn't tell me, but they did tell me that most people who...

    New Pickup Day

Congrats! If they sound as good as they look in that guitar, I'm sure you're very happy. :) Just curious ... do you have any more pics of the guitar? Love the color and the checkering in the paint.

    Rocktron HUSH Pedal

I'm thinking about getting a Rocktron Hush Pedal. Does anyone here use one, or maybe suggest something better? I'm trying to eliminate a lot of hiss and feedback but I really hate noise gates. Also, I have some effects running through my effects loop and some in front of my DR. Where in the...

How to get a fatter lead tone on my Rectifier?

Yep, just a stock TS-9 and it made a WORLD of difference! Trust me dude ... I went through the same thing you're going through. I spent months tweaking, EQ'ing, and nothing helped. I was so frustrated, I almost sold my amp.

    TS9 settings

My quest was over when I bought the TS9 pedal. The issue I have with my Dual Recto has nothing to do with EQ or mids. It has to do with the amount of usable gain in the amp's circuit. I don't use the TS9 as a distortion pedal and when I think of the term "boost", I think volume. And I...

Pedal board with Dual Recto help sought

The Flashback pedal has dip switches inside that can be set for "dry kill" as well as true bypass vs. buffered. The dry kill feature is supposed to be specifically for parallel effects loops however, you must also select the buffered option when using dry kill. This didn't work well for my setup...

    TS9 settings

That may be, but I still don't understand why there should be any need for an overdrive/boost pedal with a Rectifier. Why don't the gain controls on the amp allow the same tight response and help add sustain without the need of a TS-type pedal? And in reading through a lot of these threads, it...

Anybody Work In More Than One Band?

I'm not in more than one band but I've been in bands where other members were in other bands and, more often than not, they weren't really dedicated to learning the songs or getting tight with the band. They were just in it for the money and usually ended up leaving after realizing that they...

    Questions about delay pedals

My DR has a parallel effect loop. I have both "send"and "mix" controls turned all the way up but the delay is still buried in the mix. I've tried placing the delay in different positions of my effects chain and it doesn't help. Again, I find the Carbon Copy very limited anyway so I just assume...

    Questions about delay pedals

Well, I ended up buying an MXR Carbon Copy but my DR doesn't like it. It's barely noticible in the effects loop and is extremely limited, so I'm selling it. I'm now looking at the TC Electronics "Flashback". It has tons of options and can be configured to run 100% wet (no dry signal). All other...

How to get a fatter lead tone on my Rectifier?

I have DR with EL34's that sounds very "Marshall" (IMO). I tried different settings for months, trying to get a good lead tone, tighter gain, more sustain ... nothing worked. The amp sounded GREAT but leads were just lacking something. Then I bought a TS9. With the gain set on zero, tone at...
