Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus???

I have the PP2+ and love it. Super versatile, able to run pedals up to 24V and I've had no issues with noise at all. I have the Eventide Timefactor too and I simply use a 6" extension cord to plug it into the back of the PP2+

    pedal for light/medium gain

For low gain overdrive I chose the Barber LTD. A very transparent, tasty overdrive. As far as a mid gain, I chose the Xotic BB preamp. A very nice overdrive that is transparent as well. Each of these pedals work great on either channel of my Lonestar Classic and they also work well together.

    Time Factor & Loop Question

I have the Eventide Timefactor and run it in the effects loop of my Lonestar Classic which, if I'm not mistaken, is a series loop as well. I run mine between 1:00 and 2:00 and have no issues with volume. The Timefactor and noise gate are the only effects I'm running in my loop.

    Marshall sounding pedal

The CMATMODS Brownie is the best one I've come across so far. Great distortion with a nice bottom end. I had an MI Audio Crunch box on my board with it but always chose to use the Brownie. The CB was just a little to thin for me, very good tone and tons of gain though.

PRS CE 24 vs PRS Custom 22

Congrats on the new axe! I ran into a similar issue as your friend's CE, output was lower than I expected. You might suggest he check the shielding paint in the cavity. Mine showed some resistance in the ground when checking it with my ohmeter (back of one of the pots to paint in the cavity)...

    Custom 22 or Les Paul?

Between the two you're looking at, the Les Paul would get my vote. However, if you haven't already, check out the Custom 24 or better yet, an original Single-Cut. The PRS 7s in the Single-Cut definitely get my vote over any Gibson I've heard.

What is the best delay for the buck???

I tried a couple of other delays, researched several more and ended up with the Timefactor. The quality of the delays, modulations and the ability to run two different delay times simultaneously sold me. The effects I've been able to get while tweaking it have made it even more satisfying. If...

Major Kudos for Mesa's Customer Service

I just had to take a moment and let you all know what great customer service I have received as a Mesa owner. First kudos to Morgenroth Music and Marco. Morgenroth is in Missoula Montana and even though they were the nearest dealer they are 3.5 hours from where I live. Marco, the guy who...

Interested in a new OD/drive- got opinions?

You really can't go wrong with any of them but if you want my opinion, I have the MI Audio Crunch Box, Xotic BB, a Barber LTD and a CMATMODS Brownie. I looked at the Direct Drive but was not really wowed by it but it is a nice pedal. I used the Crunch Box and Brownie for a while but now I only...

    Delay Recommendations

I use an Eventide Timefactor in the effects loop of my LSC. It offers great sounding delays and has some really cool features, my favorite being the ability to run two different delay times simultaneously.

LSC Reeder Mod Ch2 Clean setting - Have you tried this?

Yeah, these Lonestars are a gem. Shame on me for not trying Mesa sooner! Played it some more today and I'm really enjoying Ch2 much more. It was great before but this is more what I was looking for when I bought the amp. djw, I know what you mean about having the Drive engaged for...

LSC Reeder Mod Ch2 Clean setting - Have you tried this?

I did the Reeder Mod (Pot Swap) about a month ago and really like it but always used Ch2 with the Drive enabled. I was tweaking my amp today and just for kicks and giggles thought I'd try Ch2 on the Clean setting. I was under the impression the two channels would sound pretty much the same...

    Bridge pick up suggestions...

Paul Reed Smith's PRS #7. Great high gain pickup.

What is the best delay for the buck???

I've run the Timefactor both ways and it is much quieter in the effects loop. Into the front of the amp it works fine, I just got a hiss whenever the pedal was used, off it was silent. In the effects loop it is dead quiet, on or off.

    GUITAR CENTER SUCKS

The GC here in Spokane, WA is of no use to me as well. I am big on customer service and don't like feeling as though I am cutting in on their break or chops building. I have yet to have anyone help me without feeling as though I am inconveniencing them by asking a question. Why is it such a...

    Post your pedalboard

I like it very much, I have found my delay. Well worth the price.

PRS CE 24 vs PRS Custom 22

I've had the CE-24 and CE-22, played the Custom 22 and Custom 24. Can't say that I noticed much of a difference between to CEs and Customs except in playability. By far my favorite is the CE-24. Much more diverse sounding, probably the best bridge pickup I've heard, almost a vocal quality to...

What is the best delay for the buck???

+1 on the Eventide Timefactor. Several delays to choose from and all of them good ones. No cheesy, frilly, never gonna use delays plus it has a 12 second looper. Modulation is available on all but a couple of delay types and it is very transparent in my effects loop. The kicker for me is the...

One More Time-Show us your Pedal board

It comes out on the right side of the tier, it's the cable running next to the volume pedal past my overdrive. I have my delay's power supply plugged into the back of the Pedal Power 2+. I really like my Pedal Pad though I did think it was a bit big when I first got it. Turns out to be just...

Explain some things about a noise gate, please

    1. It is possible a noise gate may help you. I can't speak with confidence to your specific issue but my noise gate works for the higher gain noise/hiss I get on my Lonestar. I have read a lot of other posts and info regarding noise gates in various applications and most seem to be satisfied...
