Anyone Have Close Ups of Mark Morton's Mark IV settings?

Sweet find, as I said my tone is close, but that's just to my ear, seems Mark is definately running more mids than I am, however, he uses passive pickups, and without the capability of running the dual heads as he does, one with the mids scooped and one with them boosted, and without his...

    Look at my new baby!!!

Just got her a few days ago....PRS Custom 22, not sure what the color actually is, its kind of a burnt red/orange, the pictured don't do it justice, but the guitar is PRISTINE! Not to mention a lefty, which is something that PRS isn't even doing anymore, would you believe the guitar is 10 years...

Anyone Have Close Ups of Mark Morton's Mark IV settings?

Actually, those are Willie's settings, funny thing in the artical too is they get Willie's and Mark's names messed up. Anyhow, Mark uses dual heads and they have the brown grille, and Mark's are medium heads, Willie uses one short head. Willie's tone is much darker than Mark's. Its funny I...

Help with my truss rod, PLEASE LOOK!

Hey guys, I've encountered nothing but awesome people on this forum and I can't find anything pertaining to my problem. I have a 2006 Left Handed Gibson Les Paul Studio. I am trying to give the neck a little relief, when I loosen the truss rod screw that is on the neck there is a little nut that...

    I need an answer.

Ya, what he said ^^^^ your speakers definately have limited bandwidth. It's kind of like when you strum your 6th string, let it ring, and then try and play high notes over the open low note, the speaker wont produce both sounds clearly, but you aren't in danger of hurting your speakers. Have fun!

    marshally mark 4?

That's easily one of the most depressing things ive heard on this forum, aside from people's gear getting stolen. If you want a Marshall sound of your Mesa, keep the power switch in the "off" position, and go buy a Marshall. Sorry, this is definately my first "being a dick" post, but I feel it...

Anyone Have Close Ups of Mark Morton's Mark IV settings?

Thanks bro, I am definately digging my tone right now. Don't get mad at your Mark!!! Just remember, half the fun of pleasure of owning a Mark IV is all the different sounds it can make, and exploring those sounds. You should be happy to be upset with yours, if that makes any sense...because it's...

Gotta a tone problem. Who doesnt right ?

I would definately have to say that it would be the pickups in your guitar, the stock RG1570 pickups are for lack of a better word....crap. That is in no way to offend you, but I run my Mark IV through an oversized Recto cab and both my guitars, one with an EMG 81 and a Seymour Duncan JB both...

    Quick Mark IV/ cabinet question!!

Thanks for the reply, I am really thinking about picking up a vertical, but I don't know how the hell I would sell my 4x12 mesa cab, I definately don't want to have to ship it, maybe craigslist would be an option, the other dilemma is I also wouldn't know where to find a vertical 2x12, again not...

People just don't understand, BUT YOU GUYS WILL!!!!

I say that to my G/F allll the time "You're just jealous", because just like you said, there are definately some days that my Boogie gets more attention, hell, even affection than she does LoL. I pull the jealousy card sometimes and she quickly dismisses it, but I know for a fact (especially...

Hey guys. I am kinda looking to get rid of my standard Mesa 4x12 cabinet to make a little room. I was thinking of getting a Mesa 2x12 Vertical cab, but was curious, which Mark IV head is designed to fit perfectly on the vertical cab? the medium head or the short head? Also, any other Mark IV...
