Mark V:35 - Fat louder than Crunch?

Interesting, thanks. I've got a brand new SPA sitting here I wanted to toss in anyway, so I'll give that a go. Thanks!

Mark V:35 - Fat louder than Crunch?

Hey all, Just got a V:35 head. I had the V:25 before as well, and now I've upgraded to the 35. Everything seems to be good with it, sounds pretty much identical. I'm curious though; has anyone noticed on theirs if the Fat is louder than the Crunch is, even if slightly? On the V:25, the reverse...

Who has a cab clone and likes it?

I know this is an ancient post, but holy crap, dude. This track is absolutely killer, and the guitars sound awesome!

    Extreme channel

I use the Extreme with the gain at about 11am, bass at 9-10am. It's an awesome setting, particularly on the V:25/35.

    TA V2 wishlist thread

Over a year later, and I still just want a 25w Stiletto with Vox cleans. Specifically: Ch.1 Vox normal Ch.1 Vox Top Boost Ch.1 (maybe?) HiWatt clean Ch.2 Plexi Ch.2 JCM800 Ch.2 hotrodded 800 No reverb. Just effects loop.

Which big recto sounds like my Mini Rec?

None of them do, IMHO. This may sound goofy to some, but I like my ROV25 more than the bigger Recs. They're great amps, but the ROV has that sound I dig. I also like the Mini Marks. Perhaps I just dig EL84's, I dunno.

Mark V:25 with Fryette PS or V:35

The 10w difference between the 25 and 35 is literally the difference between speaker efficiencies. I honestly have no idea why Mesa didn't do a two 6L6 50w version. If you need more volume, I'd recommend the Power Station, or a slave to a power amp of some sort.

    Mesa mini amp users!...Help

It does sound really good. It just doesn't sound like a Marshall. It's definitely Recto.

    Mesa mini amp users!...Help

Not to steer anyone away from Mesa, but if it's Marshall tone you're looking for, the Friedman Pink Taco (and presumably upcoming Friedman Runt) is likely what you want. I personally am waiting for the Runt, which apparently has the BE lead channel and a nice clean channel. It'll complete my...

Anyone got their hands on a Mark V 35 yet?

The V:35 is great, sounds much like the V:25. However the size and weight of the head pretty much puts me off, and I'm glad I got and kept the 25. It's basically the same headshell as the old DC-5. I still think the size and weight of the 25 is a huge advantage. Had the 35 been a 50 with 6L6's...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

My next amp needs to be British-ey, so it'll either be whatever the TA/RA replacement is, or quite possibly the rumored Friedman Runt.

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

I had that iPad too. and I agree with everything else. 10 watts is literally the difference between two speakers of differing efficiency. The solo boost, if it's that important to you, is easily solved. I prefer the smaller, lighter head. You know what I'm "pissed" about? That they've not...

Mark V:35 Say WHAT?!?! Short Head and 1x12 combo

What's going on is most definitely whining, with a heavy dosage of self-entitlement. You're not a "test market" for anything. Unless you work for Mesa, it's not of your business what their business plan is. You bought an amp because presumably it fit your needs. If it didn't, then no one else is...

Yeah, someone doesn't understand what the word "obsolete" means.
